Congratulations to our Track and Field team competing in the Island Championships the past two days.
Stellar Performances by all our Athletes: Jean Macaulay, Jonah Brost, Elwyn Thom, Morgan Price and Torin Lightbody. Jean is the first Stinger to compete in all three throwing events at islands. Jonah set a new school record in 3000m, and qualified for BC High Schools. Morgan had a personal best in High Jump and qualified for BC's. Elwyn set personal bests in all his events and Torin Lightbody is the first Stinger to qualify for BC in four individual events: Decathlon, Javelin, Long Jump and Shot Put.

ICE CREAM SALE: Today the Global Perspectives Class will be holding an Ice Cream sale at lunch...$1 a scoop with awesome toppings like chocolate Sauce and sprinkles. All proceeds will go towards the Sidney Lions Food Bank! Bring your loonies and toonies!

COFFEE CONCERT: Stelly's next coffee concert is next Wednesday, May 23rd at 7pm in the MPR. Come on out for an awesome night of talent, treats, and of course, coffee or tea! Auditions are on Friday and next Tuesday after the 22nd. If you don’t know what a Coffee Concert is, come on out to the auditions to find out even if you don’t want to perform!


The Boulders Climbing Gym is in need of volunteers in various capacities for the 2018 Lead and Speed Nationals happening this weekend. Each volunteer will receive free food during their shift(s) and a free t-shirt. All volunteers will be trained for their various role prior to the event. Island Return It has an opening for part time and full time positions. $13.50/hour. See the Career Centre Info Board for more information.
