The Michael Wood band includes Stelly's Student and aspiring musician, Michael Wood who is performing at the Mary Winspear Center with special guest Reverie and Stelly's alumni Sam Weber. Concert is on May 5th to celebrate the release of the bands first CD - Occupy This.
Michael was part of the Stelly's High School Global Perspectives 12 class who recently returned from 18 days in Nepal. The students raised over 20 thousand dollars to buy farm land for a women’s collective supporting victims of domestic violence. They spent days digging out terraces, planting tomatoes and rice, plastering walls, and helping to build housing. Proceeds from the concert will go to support the ongoing efforts of the Global Perspectives class. “If we can sell this out we will raise over $3000, and we are over half way there according to the last report.” says Wood
