GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A HUGE congratulations to Jonah Brost who competed at the BC Cross Country championships this weekend in Vancouver.  Jonah raced in freezing temperatures to place 20th out of 271 competitors in the junior boys race!  Fantastic job-well run!

PARENT SEMINAR TONIGHT - "PARENTS AS CAREER COACHES” at 6:30pm

The SD #63  Career Teachers are sponsoring a seminar  this evening for parents and guardians at 6:30pm in the Multipurpose Room at Stelly's. Marion Haythorne, a Capilano instructor, leads parents through an engaging seminar using interactive activities to explore interests/values and career pathways for their children. This seminar is not just for parents of Grade 12 students, but for all parents of High School aged students!

HAVE A BLOCK 4 SPARE? Interested in helping Bayside students learn more about Mindfulness?  Come see Ms. Koenig to learn more about this leadership opportunity.

STELLY'S 2nd COFFEE CONCERT - NOV 15TH -  Stelly's 2nd Coffee Concert of the year is happening on Nov 15th. Auditions are on Wednesday & Friday after school in the Band room.

ADAM OLSEN OUR MLA IS VISITING! Interested in an opportunity to meet and discuss politics with Adam Olson,  a former Stelly's student and MLA for Saanich North and the Islands?  Come see Ms. Koenig for details.

HOMEWORK HELP: Don't forget homework Help is available after school today in the learning commons and every morning this week starting at 7:30am ! Great time to ask questions and catch up on missing assignments!

ATHLETICS

JR BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:  Any grade 9 or 10 boys interested in trying out for the basketball team, the first tryout will be Tuesday, November 7th from 4pm -530pm. Any questions, please see Mr. Braun.

JR GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:   Junior girls basketball tryouts - Wednesday, November 8th from  2:45pm - 430pm

EXPLORATION IN TECHNOLOGY (TEAC 105)
It's Camosun's TEAC 105 (Explorations in Technology) registration time for the Feb-May 2018 course!  This dual-credit course, runs on Fridays from 3-6 pm, and provides current high school students with an introduction to careers in 4 technology areas:   Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. See the Counselling Office for application forms.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Do you have some extra time or need Volunteer hours?
