STELLY'S 2nd COFFEE CONCERT - NOV 15TH - Stelly's 2nd Coffee Concert of the year is happening on Nov 15th. Auditions are on Wednesday & Friday after school in the Band room.

HAVE A BLOCK 4 SPARE? Interested in helping Bayside students learn more about Mindfulness?  Come see Ms. Koenig to learn more about this leadership opportunity.

HOMEWORK HELP: Homework Help is now available Tuesday through Friday mornings starting at 7:30am and after school in the Learning Commons Monday through Friday until 4pm.

ATHLETICS

JR BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:  Any grade 9 or 10 boys interested in trying out for the basketball team, the first tryout will be today from 4pm -530pm. Any questions, please see Mr. Braun.

JR GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:   Junior girls basketball tryouts are on Wednesday, November 8th from  2:45pm - 430pm

Encounters With Canada - Engaging youth in Canada's future

The cost per student for an Encounters' week in Ottawa is now $575, which includes lodging, meals, most planned activities and local transportation. Travel to Ottawa, from anywhere in Canada, is FREE of charge thanks to Exchange Canada, a program of the Department of Canadian Heritage, which covers air, rail and bus transportation! There are seats still available in some remaining areas in the Fall and Winter/Spring sessions. HOUSE OF COMMONS PAGE PROGRAM: The recruitment cycle for the House of Commons Page Program is on now through to December. Pages are first-year undergraduate students who work in the House of Commons in Ottawa for one year.  Under the terms of their contract, Pages are paid $16,088 in 26 equal payments over a 12-month period. In addition, a sum of $1,200 is paid at the end of the employment period for successful completion of the contract. Are you interested in:

  • studying in Ottawa after high school? Working on Parliament Hill?

Each year 40 students graduating from high school are selected from across Canada to participate in the Page Program. EXPLORATION IN TECHNOLOGY (TEAC 105)
It's Camosun's TEAC 105 (Explorations in Technology) registration time for the Feb-May 2018 course!  This dual-credit course, runs on Fridays from 3-6 pm, and provides current high school students with an introduction to careers in 4 technology areas:   Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Do you have some extra time or need Volunteer hours? Lots of Volunteer opportunities available such as; volunteering at the SHOAL Christmas Craft Fair, Beacon Children Services Christmas Dinner, Victoria’s Anime Convention , Breakfast with Santa at Mary Winspear Centre or Special Olympics Bowling at Miracle Lanes.
