GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Cafeteria is open for the sale of drinks and baked goods at Break ONLY. Pizza Sale at lunch in the main Foyer $2.50 a slice

REMINDER to RETURN YOUR TEXTBOOKS ASAP! Students who have outstanding textbooks from 1st semester will not be issued textbooks for 2nd semester until they are returned!

2nd SEMESTER TIMETABLES will be handed out on Friday at the end of Block 1.

BREAKFAST CLUB will be running during exam week!

BUS PASSES: New Bus Passes have arrived and are available in the office!

AN EVENING OF PERFORMING ARTS:  Stelly's Performing Arts department presents "An Evening of Performing Arts on January 26th at 7pm. Performances by Dance, Vocal Jazz and musical Theatre classes. Tickets available from the main office. Adults $7.00, $5.00 Students

RUGBY: Any Boys interested in playing on the Jr or Sr boys rugby team please come to a meeting today at lunch in Room 176.

CAREER CENTRE

TEAC 105 COURSE - Explorations in Technology

You can now register for the FEBRUARY TEAC session, the program runs Fridays, 3-6 pm - February through May. This dual-credit course provides current high school students with an introduction to careers in Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. See the Counselling Office for more info.

BASICS OF FINANCE - "Credits & Loans: Course January 27th   10:00 am–11:30 am – FREE! SHOAL Centre, 10030 Resthaven Drive, Sidney. In this session you will learn all about credit cards and pre-paid cards and loans, the advantages and disadvantages, what to look for and how to calculate the “real” cost of a loan.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CERTIFIED SEARCH & RESCUE TECHNICIAN? The Search and Rescue Academy is offering a 12 day program during Spring Break for students interested in certification from the Justice Institute of B.C. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Brentwood Thrift Shop is looking for a volunteer on Saturdays, 7105-B West Saanich Road. Shifts are 10:00 am - 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm - 4:00pm

GRAD PORTRAIT RETAKES
Grad Photo retake appointments are no available to book online for two days only:

GRAD TRANSITIONS
Grads get your Grad Transition done now before crunch time! Grad Transition Interview day is Tuesday, April 17th.   If you have intentions of graduating early see Ms Jackson in the career centre. Grad Transition information and forms are available from the Career Centre or website. Remember, GT is a graduation requirement.

INTERNATIONAL:

International Student Lunch and Farewell is scheduled for this Thursday in the Learning Commons.



PARENTS:

Peninsula Youth Health Clinic - Update
Unfortunately, the 
Peninsula Youth Clinic will not be open in January. Organizers want to reassure any patients who have used the clinic over the last several months (and do not currently have a family doctor) that follow-up appointments can be made with Dr. Evans at Ocean Pier Medical Centre during regular office hours (please call 250-656-4114 to book follow-up appointments). Dr. Vogt will also continue to follow any youth who saw her in Psychiatric consultation, if needed.  The main Victoria Youth Clinic is still open to all youth and is located at  818 Douglas Street on the 3rd floor. It is open Monday to Thursday 11-5 and Friday 11-4.
