Strong Result for Senior Girls Volleyball Team at VIU Tourney

The Senior Girls Volleyball team had its best result of the year this past weekend at VIU. The girls won two early matches but were in tough later on Friday against two provincially ranked teams. The girls played exceptionally well in close losses. On Saturday, the girls went 3-1 in playoff action. After losing a close match to a strong Mt. Doug team, Stelly's won its remaining 3 matches to win its side of the 'Silver' playoff bracket. The girls begin league play Tuesday at Esquimalt and are looking forward to another good result this coming weekend at the Vanier tournament. |
