GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

PINK SHIRT DAY: This Wednesday is Pink Shirt Day at Stelly's! We encourage everyone to wear pink to support compassion and kindness in our school! Please join us and make a difference!

2019 Grad Executive Committee: Are you in Grade 11 and hoping to be on the Grad Exec next year ? There will be an informational meeting Thursday March 1st at lunch in room 116 with Mrs Brown, and you can pick up an application.

ATHLETIC CONDITIONING: Are you in Grade 10 or 11 and interested in Athletic Conditioning next year? How about trying a class next week? Try a class this Wednesday or Friday at 7:00 a.m. - 8:10 a.m.  See Ms. Montgomery if you’re interested!

Interested in competing like an Olympian? Well on Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch you and you team of 3 can compete for a chance to win prizes in the the Stelly's Olympics! Sign up your team of 3 in the main foyer today!

HOMEWORK HELP: Homework Help is available everyday in the Learning Commons starting at 7:30am and after school until 4pm.

CPF FUNDRAISER:  Canadian parents for French are having a SWEET fundraiser!  Craving maple syrup? We’ve got you covered!  Delicious maple syrup and maple lollipops at competitive prices are available to pre-order. Order forms are available on our website under the General Announcements or French Immersion Forum. Please drop off your order with payment (CPF - saanich) at the school office no later than March 1st. 

COURSE SELECTION FOR 2018/2019: Course Selection forms are due back by this Friday March 2nd to the Career Centre. Be sure to check entrance requirements to any Post Secondary programs you  will be attending! Any questions...See a Counsellor!

YEARBOOKS: Please check the Yearbook list in the office to ensure you have pre-purchased your Yearbook. Cost is $50 now and will increase after spring Break! ONLY A few extra yearbooks will be ordered so prepay now to ensure you get one!

CAREER CENTRE

INVENT THE FUTURE: Exciting opportunity available to GIRLS in GRADE 11 Invent the Future at Simon Fraser University. Marine TASK Program: Interested in trying a new program? The Marine TASK (Trades, Awareness, Skills & Knowledge) program which runs April-June 2018 (online), July-August 2018 (9 weeks) It is an introduction  to the safety practice, work readiness skills and certifications required to enter the marine industry. Check out the poster on the Career Centre Info Board for more information or speak to Mr. Rhodes to get a SIP course application package.

AVIATION SUMMER CAMP FOR GRADE 9 GIRLS
An amazing opportunity for girls entering Grade 10 in September 2018!  NAV CANADA is sponsoring a Summer Camp for 20 girls from across Canada in Ontario for one week of learning, fun, and friendship with a focus on aviation.  This all-expenses-paid camp uses hands-on learning and hopes to inspire you to explore a career in aviation!  Visit the Career Centre for more information on how to apply.
