GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

PINK SHIRT DAY: Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day at Stelly's! Join us by wearing PINK to support compassion and kindness in our school! Tomorrow after school is the  Stelly's "Fill the Hive Food Drive" from 4pm - 8pm, sign up on our website and join fun and help out others less fortunate in our community!

FRANCE & SPAIN 2019:  Are you interested in visiting France and Italy during Spring Break 2019 next year? Tonight is the deadline to sign up for the early discount. There will be a meeting today with Ms Liberatore in room 144 at lunch for all those interested or already enrolled

2019 Grad Executive Committee: Are you in Grade 11 and hoping to be on the Grad Exec next year ? There will be an informational meeting Thursday March 1st at lunch in room 116 with Mrs Brown, and you can pick up an application.

ATHLETIC CONDITIONING: Are you in Grade 10 or 11 and interested in Athletic Conditioning next year? How about trying a class this  Wednesday or Friday starting at 7:00 a.m.  See Ms. Montgomery if you’re interested!

HOMEWORK HELP: Homework Help is available everyday in the Learning Commons starting at 7:30am and after school until 4pm.

CPF FUNDRAISER:  Canadian parents for French are having a SWEET fundraiser!  Craving maple syrup? We’ve got you covered!  Delicious maple syrup and maple lollipops at competitive prices are available to pre-order. Order forms are available on our website under the General Announcements or French Immersion Forum. Please drop off your order with payment (CPF - saanich) at the school office no later than March 1st. 

COURSE SELECTION FOR 2018/2019: Course Selection forms are due back by  this Friday March 2nd to the Career Centre. Any questions...See a Counsellor!

ATHLETICS 

SPRING SCHOOL SAILING: Spring School Sailing will be starting April 7th and goes to June 9th.  There will be 2 practices per week; one after school and one Saturday plus 2 regattas.  Application forms due by spring break and can be found under Parkland Marine Academy on the Parkland School website.  If you have any questions, please contact Christine at cbennett@sd63.bc.ca

BADMINTON: Badminton Open Gym practice for anyone interested in playing badminton, recreational or competitively, after school today from 3:15 - 4:15.

FOODSAFE Level 1 - Monday, March 5, 2018      8:30 am – 4:30 pm at the SHOAL Centre 10030 Resthaven Drive   Cost is $50.00 - Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted.   Food Safe is useful for anyone working in the food service, food retail, or food processing industries. ALERT FIRST AID with CPR”C”& AED Saturday, May 5, 2018 - 8:30 am to 4:00 pm @ SHOAL Centre  Cost is $50.00 (due February 26th) - Cash, cheque or credit card.    This fun & interactive 8-hour course trains people how to react & improvise during time priority, life threatening emergencies. This course covers initial assessment, disease prevention, secondary survey, airway obstruction, adult/child/infant CPR, & the use of an Automated External Defibrillator. This course also includes recognition & first-aid treatment for head & spine injuries, shock, bleeds, anaphylactic shock, heart attacks & strokes. Participants spend the majority of the course doing hands on first-aid training. By practising with scenarios students gain confidence & learn to react & improvise in emergency situations.
