GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

STELLY'S ANNUAL ATHLETIC BANQUET & BBQ is happening tonight starting at 6pm in the large gym. All athletes are invited to this free event! This fun evening includes a BBQ, Awards and slide show! Bee There!

DO YOU HAVE A JOB? Are you working (or volunteering) this summer? Earn Grade 12 credits thru Work Experience over the summer. Register for Work Experience in the Career Centre before June 27th to qualify!!

MUSIC DEPTARTMENT YEAR END CONCERT & BBQ is happening on Monday! BBQ starts at 4:30pm and concert at 6pm. Bring your blanket or chair and enjoy an evening of fabulous music under the stars!

AN EVENING OF DANCE AND MUSICAL THEATRE is happening on Tuesday, June 12th at 7pm in the MPR. Tickets available at the office.

HOMEWORK HELP: Don't forget...Homework Help is available everyday in the Learning Commons starting at 7:30am and after school until 4pm.

ATHLETICS

Brentwood Community Badminton Club is offering an opportunity to students FREE of charge to come and learn the basic skills and techniques of Badminton throughout the summer. Check out the poster in the PE area for more information!

TRAINING & EDUCATION:

Trades Exploration (TEX) Program - Want to learn more about what it is like to work as a carpenter, plumber, electrician, or welder?  There are still 7 seats available for next year’s Semester 2 Trades Exploration Program, provided in partnership with Camosun College. Learn about each trade, fast track your future and earn up to 24 credits toward grad for completing 6 courses!  See Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre for more information.  He also has information on incentive grants and paid tuition for programs at Camosun related to the trades.

MAGIC WAND - The Magic Wand is a non-profit organization that offers an eco-friendly and inexpensive alternative to grad outfits for both girls and boys.  The Magic Wand  is for ANY grad to borrow a dress or tux, rather than buy (a small fee for cleaning is the only charge).  All outfits are new or like-new, and all accessories are included.  To book an appointment to view the selection of available clothes, phone 250-658-0246.

INTERNATIONAL

STELLY’S INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FAREWELL: Stelly's International Student Farewell is happening on Wednesday, June 13 at 2:30pm in the MPR. We will be honouring our grad students as well as our students who are leaving the program. Following the ceremony students will be bussed to Dinner and Bowling. Students must register for this event with Diane as soon as possible.

The Peninsula Youth Clinic is open today and every Thursday from 5:30 - 7:30pm. Both a doctor and counsellor are available.
