BLOW OUT THE DUST CONCERT: You are invited to Stelly's “Blow out the Dust" concert on Thursday evening at 7pm. Everyone Welcome! Admission by donation.
Art club for today after school has been cancelled.
Stelly’s 2019 Dry Grad 2019 Bottle Drive is happening this Saturday October 27th from 9a.m. to noon in the parking lot. Come help out or bring refundable bottles and cans.
Student Cards, Bus Cards and Photo Proofs are available for pick up at the office.

RETAKES - MONDAY, OCT. 29th - Photo retake day is next
Monday, October 29th in Block 1. If you missed Photo day or want
retakes, this is the last chance to get them done. Just a reminder
that all students in all grades need to have school photos taken, for
school id purposes...Grade 12’s too - even if you are having grad
photos taken.
HALLOWEEN HOWL: Stelly's is hosting their 26th annual Halloween Howl on Friday, October 26th! The community is welcome to bring children aged 0-10 to the small gym from 4:30-6pm for an afternoon of safe, fun Halloween themed activities. Admission is free!
HOMEWORK HELP: Need any help with your homework? Extra Help is available every morning from 7:15am in the Learning Commons or after school Monday/Tuesday and Thursday! Check it out!

GRAD PHOTO BOOKINGS: Grads ... Have you booked your online Grad photo appointment yet? Grad Photos start next Monday, October 29th. All grade 12 students need to sign up for an appointment as we encourage everyone to have a picture taken so that you are included in the yearbook.
GRAD POINSETTIA FUNDRAISER - All Grads are required to sell a minimum of 3 plants. Any plants sold above the initial 3 will put towards the cost of their dinner dance ticket. Forms are available on the Grad Board in the main foyer! Forms are due back to Mrs. Youell in the accounts office by Wednesday, October 30th.
INTERNATIONAL
VANCOUVER DAY TRIP - November 15th Forms are now available in the International Office for International Students interested in going on the Vancouver Day Trip on November 15th.

YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT: There are services and supports that are available to youth clients (anyone under 30), at GT Hiring Solutions. Youth Drop-in Afternoons – every Mon, Wed, Fri from 2:30-4:30pm where they can receive on the spot job search support. Monthly Youth Nights – once a week we will host an interactive evening focusing on job search, employer networking, and life skill development – our first date will be Nov 2nd – stay tuned for more details! CAMOSUN INNOVATES DESIGN CHALLENGE - Wednesday, November 7th.
The South Island Partnership and Camosun Innovates are excited to have students (grade 9-12) up to the college this fall for a day of hands-on exploration. You will explore the Camosun Innovates space, do a hands-on design challenge, tour the Interurban campus, learn about dual credit, and become more familiar with the many courses and programs Camosun College has to offer.
Have You Considered a Career in AVIATION and DESIGN? School District #61 is hosting a semester long Aviation and Design Program @ Mt. Doug Secondary February - June 2019. HAIRSTYLIST APPRENTICESHIP - starting February 2019
Do you LOVE hair? Have you ever considered a career as a Hairstylist?? Are you a social person that likes people, enjoys being a team player that is motivated with a positive attitude? Hairstylist apprenticeships provide you with the training and qualifications you need to work in the aesthetics and beauty industry. Available to grade 10-11-12 students. Interested? Gulf Island Fire/Rescue Youth Camp? - Camp runs March 18-23, 2019

Peace At Home Pet Care (mobile cat grooming & in home pet care services) is seeking responsible, reliable individual to assist with in home pet care visit. Excellent opportunity if you’re passionate about animals and looking for experience working in pet care services. Wage $15 (Approx 30 min visit. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Assistant Cub and Beaver Scouter. 10th Tsartlip Scout Group have an opportunity for an Assistant Cub and Beaver Scouter. Duties include helping or leading activities at regular meetings including: games, crafts, practicing outdoor skills, leadership, and participating in some of the outdoor adventures with the Cubs or Beavers such as camps or hikes. Volunteers are also expected to complete approximately 10 hours of training online including the Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders training and Scouts Canada Woodbadge training. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, complete a screening process, and be available for 3 meeting nights/month. As a volunteer, you are not expected to pay for any required training or to attend Scout Activities at which you are volunteering. Island Health and Saanich Peninsula Hospital have volunteer opportunities; this is a great opportunity for students considering a career in health care. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in the Health Care Assistance Program. Duties would include helping with music and memories program - moving residents in wheelchairs - crafts and activities - play games - write letters - special events - have 1:1 visits for companionship - sharing your gifts and talents with residents.
