GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Measles Catch-up for Students in Grades 10 to 12 - In the next week or so, watch for immunization consent packages to come home for students in grades 10, 11 and 12 who are unimmunized or under immunized for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR). Please discuss the information in the consent package and involve your child in the decision to provide consent to immunization.  Immunizations will be provided at Stelly's school for students in grades 10 to 12 on TUESDAY June 4th,2019.

The last day to drop classes for this semester so that they don’t show up on your transcript is FRIDAY May 31st.

Did you know that School District #63 has its own Hairstylist training program?  Want a free haircut, style or Up-do? Give them a call and make an appointment (250-652-5381).. Check out the posters around the school! Studio 63 is at the Saanichton ILC on Mt Newton X road.

CAREER CENTRE

Trades Exploration 2020 - If you are wondering about, or considering, a career in the trades, Saanich School District offers the Trades Exploration program, introducing students to the fields of carpentry, welding, electrical and plumbing. The semester 2 TEX Program can help you discover the trade that suits you and your talents best, and leads into post secondary trades training. There are still seats available! Please see Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre to register.

TEAC 105 - Explorations in Technology - Do you want to explore Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science?  TEAC 105 explores these four technologies through hands-on activities and project-based learning. This dual-credit course is offered in partnership with Camosun College and runs on Friday afternoons at Camosun Interurban Campus from 3- 6 pm, from September to February. Get more information and applications from your school counsellors or the Career Centre.

The Dry Grad Raffle Winners are:

 3rd ) Crystal Konnila ( a relaxation massage at the Brentwood Bay lodge)
The winning ticket was sold by Aeka Souliere, the gas card for selling your tickets in the first week went to Nolyn Dodge and the movie tickets for selling in the second week go to Abby Ellison.

Reminder to all grads, there is a MANDATORY GRAD REHEARSAL Thursday at lunch. Please be there!

Grads! Grad spirit day is this Thursday! Come show off your new grad-wear and pinks. Don’t forget to fill out your teacher appreciation note cards! Envelopes can be found in your block 2 classes and on the grad board”

Recognition Ceremony Ticket Forms and Guest Application forms are are available in the main office for those grade 12 students who are on the eligible to graduate list.

The Stelly’s Dry Grad Parent Committee is hosting an online auction at https://www.biddingowl.com/Auction/home.cfm?auctionID=17695 and we’d like to encourage all parents, not just grade 12 parents, to take advantage of the amazing deals.
