GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

FREE CLOTHING Swap is happening today through Thursday in the Dining Room. Please drop off any unwanted clothing and then sort through and pick something out for yourself. All left over clothing will be donated to the Victoria Pride Society

Last  chance to order yearbooks is this Friday,June 14th, 2019. Cost is $60 each,  See Mrs. Youell in the Accounts office.

2019-2020 School Bus Registration is now open for students wishing to take the District School Bus next year.  Please go to the School District Website under transportation and register your student. Note: Students must be registered by June 29, 2018 to ensure a seat on the bus.

The June Exam Schedule is postred in the main Foyer. Please check it over and ensure you don't have any exam conflicts. Reminder to all Grade 10 through 12 students to also sign up online for a numeracy exam, a registration button is on the Stelly's website. A list of those students that have signed up for the numeracy assessments is posted in the main office window. Please confirm the date and time of your exam. Limited spaces available if you have not signed up yet.

HOMEWORK HELP:  Need any help with your homework? Extra Help is available every morning from 7:15am in the Learning Commons or after school every day until 4pm! Check it out!  - Until June 19th

ATHLETICS

 BOYS DROP IN BASKETBALL has been cancelled for today but the last one for this year  will be next Tuesday after school in the small gym

WORK EXPERIENCE 12A &12B - If you have a job or are volunteering this summer be sure to sign up for Work Experience and receive extra credits, you must register by June 25th to receive credit for your hours!! See the Career Center for more details!

Trades Exploration -TEx Program) Have you thought about a career in the trades?  Not sure if it will be right for you? Get samples of Welding, Carpentry, Electrical and Plumbing through a Semester 2 TEx Program!  Earn work experience credits and learn about the steps to apprenticeship and Red Seal Certification. There's still time to register! See Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre for more info.

TRAINING & EDUCATION:

AUTOTECH PROGRAM - Do you love cars? Enjoy working with your hands? Need credits for graduation? How would you like to be a Camosun student before you graduate? STARTS February 2020 – Application deadline is mid-November 2019.  13 weeks (February-June) of instruction at Esquimalt High. 7 weeks at Camosun College for Automotive Service Technician. Apprenticeship Program. 100 hours of Work Experience to be completed before Camosun begins To register talk with Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre

GRAD 2019

LAST MANDATORY GRAD REHEARSAL is on Thursday at lunch in the Large Gym. All Grads are required to attend!

AFTER GRAD CLOTHING DROP - Grads & guests are asked to drop off casual clothing (including shoes) that you want to wear for the Dry Grad Celebration.

Thursday, June 13th - 8-9:30am & 2:45 to 3:30 pm & Tuesday, June 18th - 8-10:00 am

**Drop off location will be outside the front of the school.

All grads need to drop off their clothing in a  zippered garment bag (not a plastic grocery bag or garbage bag)  This bag needs to be large enough to hold your formal wear (include a sturdy hanger). Separate bags for grad and guest required (no sharing of bags will be allowed). Make sure your bag is labelled with your full name. All bags will be inspected for banned substances. What to pack: shorts/t-shirt, undergarments, shoes/socks, flip flops/sandals, zip-lock bag for jewellery, hairbrush/toothbrush/deodorant.

INTERNATIONAL

Stelly's International Student Farewell is happening on Wednesday June 12 @ lunch in the Learning Commons. Please bring your own lunch. At 2:10 pm, the same day, Students are asked to meet in front of the school where we will be heading out on School Buses to Langford Lanes for Bowling and Dinner. Students will be back at Stelly's by 6:30 pm. All students who wish to go on the after school trip must pick up a Field Trip form from Diane in the International Office.

PARENTS/COMMUNITY

ATTN: Grade 11 Parents:  The Aftergrad Committee of 2019 would like to extend an invitation to all grade 11 parents to attend the 2019 After grad meeting on June 18 at 7:00pm in the Learning Commons. We would like a few parents to attend so that we can start to get ourselves organized for grad 2020.
