GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

PINK SHIRT DAY is Wednesday, Feb. 26th.  We encourage students and staff to wear pink and participate in contributing to a positive, encouraging culture. Let's stop bullying by celebrating individuality and diversity. We ARE the PEOPLE PLACE after all !

COURSE SELECTION FORMS: Reminder for all students to select your courses carefully before you submit your course selection forms. Course selection forms are due at the office by Thursday, March 5th and must have a parent/guardian signature.

Stelly's First Coffee Concert of the year is Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. Come on out and see what amazing talent Stelly’s stingers have! Admission is by donation!

Free clothes from Spruce Collective in the Textiles room available at lunch this week. Please come at the beginning of lunch break to see if there is anything that interests you.

THE HIVE, Stelly's school store is now open everyday at lunch. Come on down and see our selection of spirit wear clothing and grab a drink or something to snack on later!

AMAZON RIVER TRIP SUMMER 2021: Any students interested in a 2 week Science Adventure trip to the Amazon over the summer of 2021, please come to a meeting on Wednesday evening February 26th at 7pm in the Learning Commons. See Mr. Siebert (Rm 164) or Ms. Dildy (Rm 165) for more details!

Interested in visiting Italy for 10 days during Spring Break of 2021? We will be going to Venice, Florence, Assisi, Rome, Pompeii and Capri with EF Tours. ATHLETICS

Could all members of the basketball teams, please return their uniforms to the PE office. Uniforms need to be in before the end of the week or you will be issued a bill.

Reminder that the last senior girls soccer tryouts are TOMORROW, Wednesday, feb 26 after school at centennial park.

BADMINTON: Any students wishing to be a member of the badminton team, please come to a meeting on Wednesday at lunch in the Big Gym.

CLUBS

GSA will be meeting today in room 106 during lunch, everyone is welcome.

CAREER CENTRE

Camosun College Info Night - Interurban Campus – Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.  Campus Tours leave from the Bookstore, 2nd Floor 5:15, 6:00 and 6:45 pm. Explore over 160 programs and get the answers you need to make the decision that’s right for you! You’ll have the chance to attend information sessions, talk to faculty, staff, and current students, get an interactive experience with some programs, and find out more about the many services and supports available. Your application fee will be covered when you're ready to apply, if you attend the Info Night!! Criminal Justice Program – Info Session Thursday, Feb. 27 - If you are interested in Criminal Justice and law enforcement, come to an Information Session at Camosun College Lansdowne Campus to learn about the work of the different agencies, opportunities for the future and what it takes to be a candidate for the recruiting process. You will have the opportunity to speak with reps from different agencies. THURSDAY Feb 27 at Camosun College Lansdowne Campus, Young Building Room 300, 3:00-5:00pm.

INTERNATIONAL

The next International Student Lunch is scheduled for Thursday, Feb 27 in the Dining Room. All International Students are expected to be there. Lunch will be provided. 

ROCKY MOUNTAIN TRIP:   International students: there is an amazing bus trip and tour planned to the Rocky Mountains, 4 days & 3 nights: April 19-22. Enjoy some of the best mountain views in Canada, explore the town of Banff, see wildlife and experience the 360 degree mountain view at the top of the Banff Gondola, with optional extra activities (Ice Walking Tour, Snowshoeing Tour, and Lake Louise Tubing). Deadline to book is March 13. Seats are limited and this trip will fill up fast.
