The idea for this mural project came from students in Indigenous Leadership who wanted to bring awareness and action to the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women (MMIW) in Canada. The mural was generously funded by Arts Starts and led by local artist Sarah Jim with support from Elders Doug and Kathy Lafortune.
We are proud of student committment to complete this beautiful mural, which symbolizes hope and healing.
