FAST FORWARD in STEM - This STEM webinar series introduces women in post-secondary in career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.  Featuring inspiring speakers, the free webinars are open to students, educators, and parents. UVIC VIRTUAL PARENTS NIGHT - Tonight at 6:00 PM.  Parent Nights will provide parents, students & guardians  with the opportunity to learn more about UVic. Attendees will enjoy a presentation by Dr. Lisa Surridge, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, with some helpful tips on being successful in post-secondary studies. The focus of the talk is helping parents and students navigate the transition from high school to university.  Events are scheduled in Pacific Time. Registration closes two hours before an event. DISTRICT CAREER PROGRAMS & DUAL CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES - Virtual Information Night – THURSDAY January 28 @ 7pm.  Parents are invited to join a virtual meeting to learn more about opportunities available to students in grades 10-12 in the Saanich School District. SAANICH SKILLS TRAINING APPRENTICESHIP & CARPENTRY PROGRAM is a full 3rd & 4th Quarter immersion program where students learn the basics of constructing a wood frame structure from the bare ground to the rooftop. This program blends both theoretical knowledge and practical application of skills and concepts related to the trade. Successful students transition directly to Camosun College for further training as Level One Carpentry Apprentices. Please see Ms. Hackman in the Career Centre for more information.

GRAD 2021

Another 2021 Parent Fundraiser for Stelly's Students' Dry After Grad  is starting this week! Bring your broken bracelets, chains, earrings, or any other gold items to the school office from January 11th up until March 12th.  Clean out those jewelry boxes and drawers Help support the 2021 Dry After Grad! 

The next Parent Dry Grad Committee Bottle Drive will happen on January 23rd from 9am-12pm at Stelly's School.  We need volunteers!  Parents and Grads, please try to show up if at least for an hour - this bottle drive is HUGE and is contributing lots to the year end event being planned out by all the parents. You can also drop your bottles off anytime throughout the year at one of the three Bottle Depots in Victoria (Glanford, Quadra and Queens) and ask for the funds to be added to the Stelly's Parent Grad Account. Thank You for your continued support!!

GRAD PORTRAIT RETAKES - January 20th - 22nd, 2021  - If you missed out on getting your grad portraits taken or if you were unhappy with your portraits,  the Lifetouch portable studio will be returning to Stelly's for a few days on January 20th thru 22nd, 2021. You are now able to book an appointment by going on the Grad Portrait website: schedule.prestigeportraits.ca   Sitting fee of $25 is due at the time of your appointment (but if you know you are not purchasing photos, no sitting fee is required, but we DO need you to have a photo taken for the yearbook).

SAFER SCHOOLS: SOCIAL MEDIA AWARENESS, DIGITAL FOOTPRINTS & CYBERBULLYING - For Parents/Guardians of School-Aged Students. Saanich Schools is pleased to co-host a Parent Information Evening brought to us through Safer Schools: Social Media Awareness, Digital Footprints, and Cyberbullying--For Parents/Guardians of School-Aged Students. This virtual session will provide a snapshot of current trends and equip parents and guardians in their digital parenting strategy. PENNINSULA YOUTH CLINIC is operating through Telehealth on Thursday evenings 5:30 - 7:30pm Appointments with doctors or mental health workers are conducted by phone or video.
