Today the CAFETERIA has the choice of Clubhouse with cheese on Focaccia, Toonie Wrap, Taco Spaghetti, Chicken or Veggie Chow Mein, Thai Spiced Yam, Ginger & Coconut Soup or a Chicken Caesar Salad   Come on down and check it out! 

JUST A REMINDER .... MORNING HOMEWORK HELP is available every morning from 7:15 am in room 156 and AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK HELP is every Monday through Thursday in the Learning Commons until 4pm.

CAREER CENTRE

CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES EVENT - January 20th & 21st from 4pm thru 7pm - Connecting students to the finest post-secondary opportunities across Canada through a Virtual event. Who should attend CUE?  Any student who may be considering post-secondary education!  All of our Live Events will feature representatives from participating universities.  Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and explore their post-secondary options through institution profiles and live sessions.  Students must register for live events and login for the CUE virtual events at https://cuebc.org/events/

DISTRICT CAREER PROGRAMS & DUAL CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES - Virtual Information Night – THURSDAY January 28 @ 7pm.  Parents are invited to join a virtual meeting to learn more about opportunities available to students in grades 10-12 in the Saanich School District. CAMOSUN COLLEGE - CamWeek Virtual Info night replaces our annual on-campus Info Night this year. Happening on Feb. 23-25, 2021 @ 4-8 pm.  Learn about Admissions, services including Financial Aid and AwardsCentre for Accessible Learning, programs and areas of study from the comfort of your own home. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

ELK LAKE FARM - is looking for Farm/garden help!  If you are interested in being outside and getting exercise, you may be a good candidate for this local job. Right now, the employer is looking for someone to help gather branches and do other odd jobs in the garden, starting at $15.00 hour.   Eventually, the job could increase to work in the vegetable garden and other areas of the property. Scheduling is flexible, starting at as little as 3 hours per week, working up to more hours and potential summer work.  The farm is located on Old West Saanich Rd. on the other side of Elk Lake. Contact: Cindy (250) 479-7773

GRAD 2021

Parent Fundraiser for Stelly's Students' Dry After Grad 2021 is on now! Bring your broken bracelets, chains, earrings, or any other gold items to the school office from January 11th up until March 12th.  Clean out those jewelry boxes and drawers Help support the 2021 Dry After Grad! 

Parent Dry Grad 2021 Committee Bottle Drive is happening this Saturday, January 23rd from 9am-12pm at Stelly's School.  We need volunteers!  Parents and Grads, please try to show up if at least for an hour - this bottle drive is HUGE and is contributing lots to the year end event being planned out by all the parents. You can also drop your bottles off anytime throughout the year at one of the three Bottle Depots in Victoria (Glanford, Quadra and Queens) and ask for the funds to be added to the Stelly's Parent Grad Account. Thank You for your continued support!!

GRAD PORTRAIT RETAKES are starting tomorrow… Wednesday, January 20th thru 22nd, 2021 - If you missed out on getting your grad portraits taken or if you were unhappy with your portraits, the Lifetouch portable studio will be returning to Stelly's for a few days on January 20th thru 22nd, 2021. You are now able to book an appointment by going on the Grad Portrait website: schedule.prestigeportraits.ca   Sitting fee of $25 is due at the time of your appointment (but if you know you are not purchasing photos, no sitting fee is required, but we DO need you to have a photo taken for the yearbook).

SAFER SCHOOLS: SOCIAL MEDIA AWARENESS, DIGITAL FOOTPRINTS & CYBERBULLYING - For Parents/Guardians of School-Aged Students. Saanich Schools is pleased to co-host a Parent Information Evening brought to us through Safer Schools: Social Media Awareness, Digital Footprints, and Cyberbullying--For Parents/Guardians of School-Aged Students. This virtual session will provide a snapshot of current trends and equip parents and guardians in their digital parenting strategy.
