GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today the CAFETERIA has the choice of a Turkey Mozza Baguette with Chipotle mayo and spinach, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Chicken Caesar Salad, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Pizza, Swedish Meatballs & Spaghetti or Fettuccini Alfredo with a biscuit.   Come on down and check it out!

2021-22 COURSE SELECTION FORMS for Stelly's students were DUE yesterday! If you haven't submitted yours yet do it as soon as possible to the Career Centre!

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS for Quarter 3 are happening this THURSDAY, March 4th from 5:15 to 7:30 pm.  We will be conducting all interviews either by phone, by email, or by a Microsoft Teams (Teams) remote video connection. To sign up check out the Parent Teacher Interviews Button on our website.  March 4th will also be an early dismissal day for students at 2:05pm.

Hey Stingers . . . Did you know that we now have Green Compost Bins in every Foyer? If you have any food waste, please deposit it there. Let’s keep our earth healthy and green! 

OVERDUE BOOKS:  Did you know that there are over 132 overdue textbooks still out?  Please return your textbooks ASAP or see Ms. Kedves or Ms. Pacheco-McKinnon in the Learning Commons! 

MASKS: Reminder that masks are required at all times when students and staff are in hallways and washrooms.  Everyone's cooperation is much appreciated.

JUST A REMINDER .... MORNING HOMEWORK HELP is available every morning from 7:15 am in room 156 and AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK HELP is every Monday through Thursday in the Learning Commons until 4pm.

DO YOU LOVE POETRY?  Would you like to work with professional poets?   Sign up for a free, 5-week online workshop. You will be led by Agartu Ali, the 2018 Victoria Youth Poet Laureate, and Shauntelle DC, the 2018 BC Hullabaloo Youth Slam individual champion. Any students interested in registering, please see Ms. Kedves or Ms. Pacheco McKinnon in the Learning Commons.

ALERT FIRST AID with CPR ”C” & AED - Online and in class - Friday, April 23, 2021 - 12:00 am to 4:00 pm in class @ SHOAL Centre in Sidney.  Cost is $50.00 - Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted.  4 hours online and 4.5 hours in-class course trains people how to react and improvise during time priority and life-threatening emergencies.  The online component covers care for adults, children, and babies. The classroom component will focus on developing the participant’s skills. The instructor will know that participants have completed the online component, and won’t spend as much time on the background information that is covered here.  Participants must successfully complete both the online and the classroom components to be certified in Emergency First-Aid with CPR C .  For more details see the Career Centre Info Board or the Saanich Career Education website.  Register now!
