GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

GOOD MORNING STELLY'S! We would like to take this moment to acknowledge the W̱SÁNEĆ TERRITORY our school resides on...       HERE ARE TODAY'S ANNOUNCEMENTS ...

STELLY'S MUSIC CONCERT has been rescheduled to TONIGHT, June 23rd on the Back field at Stelly's. There will be a BBQ behind the school from 5-6:30pm (Burger/Drink/Chips) combo will cost $7 and veggie burgers will be available. The concert will start at 7pm on the basketball court behind the school. Our audience will sit on the field so they should bring a blanket or lawn chair. See you there!

TEXT BOOKS & LIBRARY BOOKS – Reminder to ALL Students …to please bring back all of your library books and textbooks to the Learning Commons as soon as you are finished studying for final exams.

TIMETABLES FOR 2022-2023 - If you haven't picked up your timetable yet, they are available for pick up in the main office.

YEARBOOKS - Yearbooks will be handed out on Thursday and Friday. They are available to pick up from Mr. Hart or the main office. If you still wish to buy a yearbook, you can purchase one at the Accounting office for $65.

LOCKERS - We hope by now that all students have emptied their lockers.  We strongly recommend that you write down you lock combination and keep it in a safe place so you remember it for September!!

PARENT VOLUNTEER DRIVERS FOR NEXT YEAR 2023 - Reminder that all volunteers for School District 63 are required to complete a Criminal Record Check every three years. Sports and trips may start up quickly in September, so we encourage parents to be proactive and do this NOW, if you might be interested in driving, as the process can take a few weeks at rush time.  On the Stelly's Secondary home page, under "PARENTS", find the School Volunteer Information link and follow the steps.

LOST & FOUND TABLE - There is a lost & found table set up in the Main Foyer, and items will be added throughout the week.  Anything leftover on Thursday, June 30th will be bagged up and donated to a charity.

GRADE 11 PARENTS:  The Grad 2023 Dry Grad Parent Committee is looking for you!  Mark your calendars for our inaugural meeting on Wednesday, September 21st at 7:00pm in the Stelly's Learning Commons (Library). You can also stay connected by subscribing to the Stelly’s Grad Forum, connect with us on Facebook: Grad 2022 - Parent Fundraiser for Stelly’s Students Dry After Grad (name soon to change to 2023) and at stellysgrad23@gmail.com  We need many hands to make this successful for our kids! Come help and meet the other parents at the June 25, July 23, August 25th bottle-drives.

BOTTLE DRIVE - The Grad 2023 Dry Grad Parent Committee is fundraising already and we need you!  The bottle drives will now continue with proceeds towards the 2023 After Grad Party. Bottle-drives start on June 25th and continuing through the summer, July 23rd and August 25th, 9-noon.

CAREER CENTRE

THE BC EMPLOYMENT STRATEGY FOR YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES is looking for youth and caregivers to fill out a survey to share their experiences to improve the employment support offered to youth with disabilities. To do this, they would like to ask you about the gaps, barriers, and best employment support experiences you’ve encountered.  People who participate can be entered into a draw to WIN A PRIZE! WORKBC VICTORIA is hosting a free in-person recruiting event for any job seekers in Victoria to explore or apply for opportunities in the Human Service Sector. HOST FAMILIES NEEDED:  Saanich International Student Program (SISP) is actively looking for new Host Families for our International students joining us at the end of August 2022.  Make lifelong friendships, provide a student with a home away from home and share the beauty of your community!  If you are interested in this opportunity, host families are provided:

SAANICH PENNINSULA YOUTH CLINIC is operating through Telehealth TONIGHT from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.  Appointments with doctors or mental health workers are conducted by phone or video. Services are completely free and confidential for any medical concerns, to get prescriptions, or to speak with a counsellor.
