GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

TEXT BOOKS & LIBRARY BOOKS - REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS to please bring back all of your library books and textbooks to the Learning Commons as soon as you are finished studying for final exams.

TIMETABLES FOR 2022-2023 - If you haven't picked up your timetable yet, they are available for pick up in the main office.

YEARBOOKS - Yearbooks will be handed out TODAY. They are available to pick up from Mr. Hart in the Dining Room or the main office. If you still wish to buy a yearbook, you can purchase one at the Accounting office for $65.

GRAD 2023 PARENTS:  Is your child graduating next year? The Grad 2023 Dry Grad Parent Committee is looking for you!  Mark your calendars for our inaugural meeting on TUESDAY, AUGUST 30TH at 7:00PM! Due to summer holidays, this will be a ZOOM meeting to reach as many parents as possible! Details will be posted on both the Facebook “Stelly's Secondary School - Parents Advisory Council” and the Facebook “Grad 2023- Parent Fundraiser for Stelly’s Students Dry After Grad”. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to either Facebook page or send us an email at stellysgrad23@gmail.com. We need many hands to make this successful for our kids!

GRAD 2023 PARENTS:  Is your child graduating next year? The Grad 2023 Dry Grad Parent Committee has already begun fundraising and we need you! The bottle drives will now continue with proceeds towards the 2023 After Grad Party. Mark your calendars! The 4th Saturday of every month from 9:00AM – 12:00PM starting on Saturday, June 25, 2022! There will also be bottle drives on Saturday, July 23, 2022 and Saturday, August 27, 2022. We need YOU to help make this fundraiser successful for our kids – all help welcome, no need to RSVP, just show up!

LOCKERS - We hope by now that all students have emptied their lockers.  We strongly recommend that you write down you lock combination and keep it in a safe place so you remember it for September!!

PARENT VOLUNTEER DRIVERS FOR NEXT YEAR 2023 - Reminder that all volunteers for School District 63 are required to complete a Criminal Record Check every three years. Sports and trips may start up quickly in September, so we encourage parents to be proactive and do this NOW, if you might be interested in driving, as the process can take a few weeks at rush time.  On the Stelly's Secondary home page, under "PARENTS", find the School Volunteer Information link and follow the steps.

LOST & FOUND TABLE - There is a lost & found table set up in the Main Foyer, and items will be added throughout the week.  Anything leftover on Thursday, June 30th will be bagged up and donated to a charity.

CAREER CENTRE

THE BC EMPLOYMENT STRATEGY FOR YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES is looking for youth and caregivers to fill out a survey to share their experiences to improve the employment support offered to youth with disabilities. To do this, they would like to ask you about the gaps, barriers, and best employment support experiences you’ve encountered.  People who participate can be entered into a draw to WIN A PRIZE!
