Grad Appreciation Tea

The first ever Stelly's SD63 Staff Appreciation Tea was a huge success. The graduating class of 2012 hosted an appreciation event for former teachers throughout the school district from elementary school to middle school and finally high school, to come to Stelly's MPR for light refreshments to say "Thank You". This event was a way for all our grads to show their appreciation to their schools community and gave the opportunity to see how important their former staff members and teachers were to them for helping the students reach this great goal of graduation!  Most students had not seen their teachers since they left their former schools to come to Stelly's and this event created the opportunity for their former teachers to see where their students are now. The grad ceremony seems to be only shared with high school teachers, yet if we truly believe that it takes a “village to raise a child” then the villagers should have a chance to share in the celebration. This is a tradition Stelly's hopes to carry on for the years to come. Thank you to Ali Russell and the graduating class of 2012 for organizing and creating the first annual Stelly's SD63 Staff Appreciation Tea Event.
