GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

STELLY'S 1st COFFEE CONCERT of the year is happening tonight  at 7pm in the MPR

HOMEWORK CLUB TODAY

Need any extra help with Math, Science, Socials or English? Free Tutoring is available at Homework club  every Wednesday after school in the Career Center! Everyone Welcome!

GUEST SPEAKER TODAY: Are you interested in what happens in the communities around our school?  Do you have an idea or a question for our community leaders?  Would you like to learn more about municipal government?  If so, bring your lunch to room 153 today for an opportunity to talk with Mr Zeb King, a Central Saanich Municipal Councillor.  Everyone welcome!

Interested in Mental Health and Awareness?  Come learn more about a new project The Canadian Mental Health Association will be running at Stelly's over the next 8 weeks.  Learn how to support both your friends and your own mental health, and gain insight and confidence in a wide array of areas.  Come see Ms. Koenig for more information.  Space is limited.

ATHLETICS

JR GIRLS BASKETBALL: Any grade 9 or 10 girls interested in playing basketball this year, please come to a meeting today at lunch in the Big Gym. If you cannot attend please see Mr. Braun.

MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB is cancelled for today but will be happening next Wednesday after school at Hartland. See Mr. Montgomery for more details

CAREER CENTRE

SOLDIER FOR A DAY: Have you ever wondered what it might be like to be a part of the Canadian Armed Forces?  Soldier For A Day is an event that gives you a chance to get an inside look at all aspects of basic military concepts such as drill and dress, military equipment, weapons, vehicles, training equipment, and military rations. More information and application forms are available from the Career Centre.

Reminder to Students: Pender Island Fire Camp Applications are due on today.  They must be submitted to the Career Centre.

First Aid  with CPR + AED:  Nov 14, 8:45 - 4:00.  $50.00
Alert Emergency First Aid with CPR "C" + AED:  Nov. 14, 8:45 - 4:00.  $50.00
