GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good Luck to the Jr Girls Soccer Team as they head to Mt. Doug today to play in their first League game! Go Stingers!!!

PAC MEETING: The next PAC meeting is tonight at 7pm in the Learning Commons. All Parents Welcome!

TODAY IS PI DAY! There will be a math and pie eating competition at lunch in the big gym. Come watch teachers and students compete!

BC YOUTH TECH SUMMIT: Those students going to the BC TECH SUMMIT in Vancouver tomorrow please meet at the beginning of break today in Rm 136.

CLUBS

MATH CLUB: The last round of Waterloo Math contests is coming up in early April.  Any gr 9-12 students interested in writing the Euclid, Fryer, Galois or Hypatia contests MUST register with Mrs Hilton (room 169) before Spring Break

ATHLETICS

Job Opportunity – Elections BC
Youth at the Booth - Student Employment Program.   Earn at least $250 for working a full day as an election official, obtain work experience/community service hours toward Grad Transition, and learn about elections and voting!  Applicants must be between 15 and 19 years of age, in good standing with school, and legally entitled to work in Canada. See the Career Centre for more details!

GRADUATION 2017

Scholarship Meeting tomorrow at lunch in Room 116. A representative from UVIC will be here to answer any questions you may have.

SPRING FUNDRAISER: Hey Grads, why don't you save yourself some money and fund-raise for your dinner/dance ticket? Mother's Day is coming in May and the flowers get delivered just days before! Your Dad, your siblings, your neighbours and everyone else need to get the mothers in their lives some flowers. So why don't you profit from it? Pick up order forms at the office and sell over Spring Break! 

GRAD TRANSITIONS: Reminder to Grads that the Deadline for completing and handing in Grad Transition Paperwork is April 3rd, 2017. Time to get started! Grad Transition Interview Day is Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

MAGIC WAND PROJECT:  The Magic Wand is a non-profit organization that offers an inexpensive alternative to grad outfits for students. The Magic Wand  is for ANY Grad wanting to borrow a dress or tux, rather than buy (a small fee for cleaning is the only charge).  All outfits are new or like-new, and all accessories are included. See the office for more details.

DRY GRAD BOTTLE DRIVE: Dry Grad bottle drive is smack dab in the middle of Spring Break, on Saturday, March 25 between 9 am and 12 noon?  For those of us remaining here, please remember to bring your refundable cans and bottles to the school parking lot at that time.  Those headed to warmer or colder climes can either wait until April 22 or drop off their refundables at the Sidney Bottle Depot, 10025 Galaran Ave in Sidney, between 8:30 and 5 Monday to Friday or 9 to 5 on Saturdays and ask that the proceeds be donated to Stelly's Dry Grad 2017

Vancouver Day Trip

Registration forms are now available International Students interested in going on the Vancouver Day Trip.. Completed forms are due Thursday, March 16th.

Spirit Day is this Friday! Grades 9 to 11 are encouraged to wear Stelly's colours and Grads wear green!
