GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Best of Luck to the Jr Boys Soccer team who are playing this afternoon in a city quarter final game vs Oak Bay. Gooooo  Stingers!  Can all junior boys soccer players please meet at the small gym at break to discuss rides to your game!

BLOW OUT THE DUST MUSIC CONCERT: The first music concert of the year is happening tonight at 7pm in the MPR. Everyone Welcome!

30th ANNUAL HALLOWEEN HOWL: Stelly's Annual Halloween Howl is Friday, October 27th from 4:30pm to 6pm in the Small gym.

NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS DANCE: Starting at lunch today tickets will be on sale for the "Nightmare before Christmas" Dance on Thursday, November 2nd. No tickets are sold at the door and if you are early enough to get your tickets you can get two dollars of general admission from Pendray’s Corn Maze. So hurry up and get your tickets!

BADMINTON INTRAMURALS: Anyone interested in playing badminton Intramurals?  Sign up is on the PE board outside the main office.  Games will start next Wednesday so grab a partner and come play at lunch!

S.C.A.T.S. Fundraiser: Tickets for the Victoria Royals vs Kelowna Rockets Sat. Nov. 4th. are on sale at lunch today. Tickets are $20.00 each and a fundraiser for the new Theatre project happening at Stelly's!

LOST & FOUND: Missing a Hoodie, water bottle or T-shirt? Check out he overflowing lost & found table in the hallway outside rm 113.

SCHOOL ID AND  PHOTOS:  Photo Retake day is Monday, October 30th!  Any students that did not have pictures taken at the first photo session must get  a photo done for the yearbook and student id.  There is no charge.  If you are having retakes done you must bring back your first photo package and give it to the photographer.

Quebec 2018 Spring Break Trip :  Still thinking about traveling with Stelly's to Quebec, Montreal, and Ottawa for seven days of Spring Break 2018?  There are still spaces left on this amazing educational and fun-filled trip.  All Stelly's students welcome.  Drop by room 108 or email Mrs Wallace for information.  We are currently offering a "refer a friend program" where you and a friend can each can save $50.00 if you sign up together.

HOMEWORK HELP: Homework Help is available Tuesday through Friday mornings starting at 7:30am and after school in the Learning Commons Monday through Friday until 4pm.

CLUBS

YOUTH IN ACTION FOOD BANK DRIVE:  Want to trick or treat and help people in our community at the same time?  Why not join Youth In Action in our annual “We Scare Hunger” food drive.  Stop by room 108 outside of class any day this week to find out how you can help us collect non-perishable food for the Sidney Lions Food bank on Halloween.  Whatever your costume, we can all be "superheros" when we help others!

Exploration in Technology (TEAC 105)
It's Camosun's TEAC 105 (Explorations in Technology) registration time for the Feb-May 2018 course!  This dual-credit course, runs on Fridays from 3-6 pm, and provides current high school students with an introduction to careers and basic skills in 4 technology areas:
1) Computer Science,
2) Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology,
3) Civil Engineering Technology, and
4) Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Students will complete a hands-on project in each of the 4 areas as they explore potential career and post-secondary options. See the Counselling Office for application forms.

Special Olympics Bowling Miracle Lanes

Volunteers would assist athletes in the 5 pin bowling program, by assisting athletes on the lanes, ensuring that the athletes are bowling in the right order, assisting the head coach of when necessary and making sure everyone is having a GREAT TIME!!

GRAD 2018

P.S.I.B.C EVENT:  Interested in attending a Post Secondary Institute within BC? Maybe UVIC, Camosun, SFU or VIU? On Thursday, October 26th from 6:30pm - 8:10pm Stelly's is hosting the Annual Post Secondary Institutes of BC event. It is a great event to gather more information, ask questions, find out about admission requirements or specific programs!

GRAD TRANSITIONS: Grade 12's it's time to get started on your Graduation Transitions Paperwork. GT requirements are now posted on the Career Centre Information Board and on the school website!
