GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

BASKETBALL TEAM PHOTO'S are Thursday at lunch. All players meet at the start of lunch with your uniform in the Large gym!

Reminder: Eating in the Learning Commons is a privilege, not a right. Most schools do not allow food in their Learning Commons.  If those students who are leaving their garbage, food spills, and chairs all over the place do not stop immediately, the Learning Commons will be closed at lunch until further notice.

Holiday Candy Grams: Candy Grams are on sale now at lunch in the main foyer. Come order a candy gram for your best friends, favourite teacher or for a special someone. Candy grams are $2 each and will be distributed Dec 21.

SCHOOL BUS PASSES: School District Bus passes have arrived and are available in the office for pick up. All riders will need passes to ride the school district buses.

CHRISTMAS FOOD HAMPERS: Stelly's Food Hamper Drive starts this week and runs through December 15th. Donation boxes are in every classroom. We are looking for donations of non-perishable food, cash or gift cards for needy families in our community.

CRAM THE CRUISER TOY DRIVE: The Cram the Cruiser toy drive starts today and runs until Dec 15th, 2017. Our school is working with Central Saanich Police to bring in new toys for children 2-12 so that all our local kids will have a gift to wake up to on Christmas morning. Please bring in a new toy or maybe bring in  a dollar or two and to buy a gift as a class. 

LOST & FOUND: Missing a Hoodie, water bottle or T-shirt? Check out he overflowing lost & found table in the hallway outside rm 113.

BASICS OF FINANCE; Credits & Loans: Course January 27th   10:00 am–11:30 am FREE!SHOAL Centre, 10030 Resthaven Drive, Sidney In this session you will learn all about credit cards and pre-paid cards and loans, the advantages and disadvantages, what to look for and how to calculate the “real” cost of a loan.

HAIRSTYLIST Apprenticeship to start in February 2018

Do you LOVE hair? Have you ever considered a career as a Hairstylist?? Are you a social person that likes people, enjoys being a team player that is motivated with a positive attitude. Hairstylist apprenticeships provide you with the training and qualifications you need to work in the aesthetics and beauty industry. Available to grade 10-11-12 students. Interested? See Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre for an application package.

GRAD WINTER FORMAL TICKETS: Attention all Grads! Winter Formal tickets are on sale this week at lunch. Cost is $30 and you get an evening of tons of food, dancing and the photo booth! You only get one Winter Formal, so don't miss out!

GRAD SOCK AND LANYARD ORDERS: The deadline for socks and lanyards has been pushed back to December 15th.

INTERNATIONAL:

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: All International students planing to travel overnight or do any day travel out of town over the winter break must submit applications by WEDNESDAY December 13th.
