FEB 15th- EXPLORATIONS GRADES 9 to 12 & BEYOND

Parents & Students Grades 9 through 12 are invited to attend Stelly's Explorations evening on Thursday, February 15th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Discover the diverse academic and unique opportunites available here at Stelly's! Presentations on High school programs, Post Secondary options, Grade level courses, Trades and Career Options, Travel Options and much more!

REPORT CARDS: If you didn't pick up your report card last Friday, they are available in the office!

BAND BOTTLE DRIVE: Please drop off your refundable bottles this Saturday from 10am to 3pm at the Peninsula Co-op on Keating Cross Road. Your donation will help fund the Stelly's Music Program students’ annual trip to Calgary & Sun Peaks!

HOMEWORK HELP: Homework Help is available Tuesday through Friday mornings starting at 7:30am and after school in the Learning Commons Monday through Friday until 4pm.

CAREER CENTRE

Marine TASK Program

Interested in trying a new program? The Marine TASK (Trades, Awareness, Skills & Knowledge) program which runs April-June 2018 (online), July-August 2018 (9 weeks) It is an introduction  to the safety practice, work readiness skills and certifications required to enter the marine industry. Check out the poster on the Career Centre Info Board for more information or speak to Mr. Rhodes to get a SIP course application package.

LADIES ITS TIME TO REGISTER FOR for the Women in Trades and Technology Exploration Day at Camosun College, on Wednesday, February 21st. Bus transportation and lunch will be provided! This is a chance to check out well paying careers in the following:

Trades - Electricians - Automotive Service Technicians - Sheet Metal/Metal Fabricators - Carpenters

Technology - Civil Engineering - Computer Science - Electronics Engineering - Mechanical Engineering

AVIATION SUMMER CAMP FOR GRADE 9 GIRLS
An amazing opportunity for girls entering Grade 10 in September 2018!  NAV CANADA is sponsoring a Summer Camp for 20 girls from across Canada in Ontario for one week of learning, fun, and friendship with a focus on aviation.  This all-expenses-paid camp uses hands-on learning and hopes to inspire you to explore a career in aviation!  Visit the Career Centre for more information on how to apply.

VALENTINES DANCE - FEB 10th The Society for the Community Arts Theatre is hosting a "Valentines Dance" on February 10th at the Saanich Fairgrounds to raise funds for a new theatre at Stelly's. Featuring the Commodores Big Band, Bayside Big Band and the Stelly's Jazz Band. Tickets are available at the main office. $20 each.
