Youth Firefighter Mentorship Program for Grade 11 & 12 Girls
August 9th to August 12th, 2018
The camp is open to girls in grades 11-12 (ages 16-18), and gives them an introduction to the world of firefighting. Each girl will learn about fitness, nutrition, health and teamwork. It’s easy, and there’s no cost to participate! The camp will supply you with firefighter gear, accommodations, meals, activity fees and transportation during the camp. All you have to do is show up with a great attitude and a sense of adventure! Magic Wand
The Magic Wand is a non-profit organization that offers an eco-friendly and inexpensive alternative to grad outfits for both girls and boys. The Magic Wand is for ANY grad to borrow a dress or tux, rather than buy (a small fee for cleaning is the only charge). All outfits are new or like-new, and all accessories are included. Peninsula Youth Clinic is Re-opening
The Peninsula Youth Clinic will be re-opening on Thursday, March 15th! The youth clinic has a new location at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney and will be open every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand. Join the clinic for their grand opening celebrations on Thursday, March 15th - there will be pizza and an opportunity to receive the newly printed ‘Help Cards’ created by youth for youth.
