STELLY'S EASTER EGG HUNT: Hidden around school are over a hundred Easter eggs, mostly decorated by students from Keating Elementary! If you find 3, you can trade them in at the main foyer at lunch for a chocolate! Search high and low, good luck!

COFFEE CONCERT April 11th - Sign up sheets for the upcoming Coffee Concert on April 11th are posted outside the band room. Auditions will start when we return from spring break

WATERLOO MATH CONTEST: Last chance to sign up for the Waterloo Math Contest is today! See Mrs. Hilton in room 169.

YOUTH IN ACTION BOOK DRIVE:  Does Spring Break mean Spring cleaning?  Youth In Action is collecting gently used children's books to support the locally organised 1000 by 5 book drive.  So, sort through your bookshelves, dust off some outgrown books, and bring them to the box in the main foyer until April 9.  Your donation will help a child in our community towards better success at school and a love of reading.

YEARBOOKS: Last chance to purchase a yearbook before the price goes up...check in the office to ensure you have pre-purchased your Yearbook!

CAMP IGNITE - Youth Firefighter Mentorship Program for Grade 11 & 12 Girls - August 9th to August 12th, 2018. The camp is open to girls in grades 11-12 (ages 16-18), and gives them an introduction to the world of firefighting. Each girl will learn about fitness, nutrition, health and teamwork. It’s easy, and there’s no cost to participate!  The camp will supply you with firefighter gear, accommodations, meals, activity fees and transportation during the camp.  All you have to do is show up with a great attitude and a sense of adventure! To apply, download and fill out the application form and bring it in to your municipality’s main fire hall. THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS JUNE 1st, 2018


Pacific Design Academy - Summer School Courses through the Pacific Design Academy. Interior Design - Graphic Design - Fashion DesignThese courses were structured as follows:

  • 4 weeks of in class education in July.  Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 3:45 pm each day  (120 hours of in class education)

  • 4 weeks of related work experience at a local company in August or September.

Packages and Applications are available in the Career Centre Application deadline is April 7, 2018

Peninsula Youth Clinic is Re-opening
The Peninsula Youth Clinic will be re-opening on Thursday, March 15th! The youth clinic has a new location at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney and will be open every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand. Join the clinic for their grand opening celebrations on Thursday, March 15th - there will be pizza and an opportunity to receive the newly printed ‘Help Cards’ created by youth for youth.
