GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the Junior Girls Volleyball team as they beat Mount Doug last night in playoffs to advance to the Island Championships this weekend at Brentwood College. Well done girls and good luck this weekend!!!

HOMEWORK HELP:  Need any help with your homework? Extra Help is available every morning from 7:15am in the Learning Commons or after school Monday/Tuesday and Thursday until 4pm! Check it out!

ATHLETICS

Any girls Grades 9 thru 12 interested in playing basketball for Stelly's, please come to a meeting Today at lunch in the Big Gym. 

Any boys interested in playing basketball for our school please come to a meeting Wednesday at lunch in the big gym.

CAREER CENTRE

Soldier For A Day- Work/Study Program
The BC Army Reserve is hosting a Soldier for a Day program on SATURDAY, November 17th.  This program is an introduction to the role of the BC Army Reserve both here in your home community, across Canada and even around the world. It’s also worth 6 1/2 hours of work experience. Don’t wait too long to sign up, as spaces are filling up fast!

Have You Considered a Career in AVIATION and DESIGN?  School District #61 is hosting a semester long Aviation and Design Program @ Mt. Doug Secondary February - June 2019.   Partnering With Viking Air, Victoria Flying Club, Pacific Sky, VIH Aviation Group & Camosun College.  To register talk with Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre.   APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 15, 2018.

District #63 Hairdressing Program
Any students interested in the dual credit Cosmo/Hairdressing Program, offered by SD#63 in partnership with Vancouver Island University, please see Mr. Rhodes  in the Career Centre to sign up for the Feb. 2019 start!

POST SECONDARY INSTITUTES OF BC & CAREER COACHING SEMINAR -  NOV 15TH

Representatives from the POST SECONDARY INSTITUTES OF BC will be at Stelly's on Thursday, November 15th from 6:00- 8:00pm to provide information about their programs, admissions and answer any questions you may have! Also, we are hosting a "PARENTS AS CAREER COACHES" Seminar at 7pm.  Capilano University Instructor Marion Haythorne's presents this free seminar to help parents guide their children to make sound educational and career choices.
