GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

COFFE CONCERT TONIGHT: Stelly's Coffee Concert is tonight at 7pm. Join us to see the amazing talent that students of Stelly's have to offer!

A DAY OF SILENCE: There are many issues in the world that involve the vulnerable and marginalized. Tomorrow Thursday Dec. 6 the GSA club is asking people to participate in a Day of Silence. This is a chance to be silent for the day to bring awareness to a cause that concerns you. In the morning you will find a table at the front of the school with a sticker that you can wear that says, "I am silent today for (the cause of your choice). 

PHOTOS, STUDENT ID’S & BUS CARDS:
There are still many school photos, student I.D. cards, and bus passes in the office.  Please come by to pick them up.

IMMUNIZATION FORMS: A reminder to all grade 9 students to return your immunization forms to the main office ASAP.

2nd SEMESTER PSYCH 130/PSYCH 12 DUAL CREDIT COURSE: Reminder to all students registered in the Psych 130/Psych 12 Dual Credit course in semester 2, that applications are due.  An important meeting will be held on Monday, December 10 at lunch in room 153.  Extra applications can be picked up in the counselling office if needed.

STELLY”S ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE: Stelly’s has started it’s Annual Food Drive! Every classroom has a list of items to bring to fill a hamper. Please Check the list and help fill the hamper to help families in our community.

“AN EVENING OF PERFORMING ARTS” - Friday, December 7th: Stelly’s Performing Arts department with special guests from Allegro Performing Arts Centre invite you to an Evening of Performing Arts on December 7th at 7pm in the MPR. Proceeds will go to Stelly’s Community Arts Theatre Society to help raise funds for a new theatre at Stelly’s. Tickets are $15.

HOMEWORK HELP:  Need any help with your homework? Extra Help is available every morning from 7:15am in the Learning Commons or after school Monday/Tuesday and Thursday until 4pm! Check it out!

  • Girls in Icy Fjords, July, 2019

  • Girls on Ice Switzerland, July and August, 2019 (Eligibility for Switzerland expedition you must be between 15 and 17 years old on July 15, 2019)

  • Girls on Rock, July, 2019

  • Girls on Ice Canada, July, 2019

  • Girls on Water, August 2019

District #63 Hairdressing Program
Any students interested in the dual credit Cosmo/Hairdressing Program, offered by SD#63 in partnership with Vancouver Island University, please see Mr. Rhodes  in the Career Centre to sign up for the Feb. 2019 start!

GRAD 2019

GRAD FUNDRAISER: Don't forget to grab a Thrifty Smile card or a Fairway card from the office to raise funds for the Dry Grad.  Get your parents to load the card when they shop, and the stores will make a donation to Dry Grad 2019.

POINSETTIA PICK UP:  Grad Poinsettia Plant Pick Up was on Tuesday, December 4th. Please make arrangements to pick up if you have not done so yet!

Winter Formal Tickets are on sale this week at lunchtime only. Don't miss out Tickets are $25 each.

INTERNATIONAL

HOLIDAY TRAVEL: ALL International Students  planning to travel during the holidays Overnight and flight travel applications are due Friday, December 7th. Day trip travel applications are due on December 14th.  Please hand them in to the International Office on time.
