Stelly's had 16 swimmers compete in the Vancouver Island High School Swim Meet on Sunday, November 2nd. The swimmers competed well and their coach was very proud. The great thing about swimming is that although there is a competition for provincial spots, there are also individual competitions to better the best time. Stelly's had one student swim 50 seconds faster at the meet that he did 3 weeks before, a true accomplishment.
Of the 16 students that came to regionals, Stelly's has 9 students advancing to provincials. The swimmers advancing are:
Mahaila Jaroch - 100 free
Craig Logan - 50 free, 50 fly, Boys 200 Medley Relay, Mixed 200 Medley Relay
Katie Lowdon - 50 back, 50 fly, 100 IM, Girls 200 Medley Relay,
Ken Naito - 100 breast, Boys 200 Medley Relay
Annie Ewart - Girls 200 Medley Relay, Mixed 200 Medley Relay

Lindsay Hardcastle - Girls 200 Medley Relay, Mixed 200 Medley Relay
Alex Lightbody - Boys 200 Medley Relay
