Canadian Parents for French Saanich Chapter.

CPF - Saanich is happy to report on the following upcoming events:

1.   March 12th:   CPF - Saanich has been running a maple syrup fundraiser to help boost our income to allow us to offer more fun French learning activities in Saanich.  If you missed it, please print off our order form (on our Facebook site http://www.facebook.com/CPF.Saanich
or you can pick up at the Stelly's reception) and drop off by Friday, March 15.  Thanks for your support!

2.   April 11To celebrate the Stelly's Grade 12 French Immersion Grad students success, a special event called K:12 Gift Exchange Celebration will take place on April 11, at Bayside Middle School.  This is the 25th K:12 event that CPF launched over 30 years ago.

The evening’s purpose is to acknowledge and celebrate the commitment and achievement of our French Immersion Grade 12 graduates and to welcome our young Kindergarten students to the French Immersion Saanich family. It is with a simple yet meaningful exchange, where Grade 12 French immersion students write a personal letter to a kindergarten student from école Deep Cove and école Keating. In exchange, our kindergarten students give a small gift (purchased by CPF - Saanich) to the Grade 12 students.

The event will also serve as an opportunity to thank and bid farewell to French teachers who are retiring from Ecole Deep Cove and Ecole Keating.

CPF will have an information table at the event.

If any Grade 12 parents are attending, do plan to visit our table for coffee and to say hi!

3.  April 29th, Stelly's students have been invited to attend the French for the Future workshop/conference and talent show at UVic.   This is an annual event for students to discover the numerous possibilities (education, travel and work) that are available to them in French.

On top of enjoying a fun and educative program, students will have the opportunity to meet engaging mentors and bilingual professionals, to create links with students across the city, and to broaden their knowledge of a local and international francophonie.

CPF - is a silver sponsor at this event and we are delighted that Stelly's students will be able to participate.  Thanks to the SD63 for arranging transport etc.

4.   May 5th.     Thanks to PAC's generous donation to CPF, we are happy to confirm that a French Live theatre show, called Simon a toujours aimé danse, will be presented to ALL French students at Stelly's on May 5th.
