GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

SCHOLARSHIP MEETING today at lunch Rm 116

Last Chance for any students interested in writing the Euclid, Fryer, Galois or Hypatia Math contests, you MUST sign up with Mrs Hilton by the end of the week!  Registration deadline is this weekend!  Contests are written right after Spring Break...see schedule posted outside room 169.  Don't miss out!

DEADLINE FOR COURSE SELECTION FORMS was last week. If you have not returned yours yet... get it done ASAP!. Make sure forms have a  PARENT SIGNATURE.

Reminder to French Immersion parents ......MAPLE SYRUP ORDERS are due on Friday. Please drop off orders in the main office.

LAST DAY OF CAFETERIA SERVICE IS TODAY... Pizza and Bake sale on Thursday and Friday! Pizza is $2.50 a slice.

 After school HOMEWORK HELP has been cancelled for the rest of the week

3 ON 3 BASKETBALL INTRAMURALS: 3 on 3 Basketball Intramurals are set to start after spring Break on Mondays and Wednesdays at lunch. Come to the RE office and get a sign up sheet for your team this week!

ENGLISH 12 EXAM REWRITES: Any Grade 12 student interested in rewriting their English 12 exam please see Mr Braun in the main office.

LOST & FOUND: Missing your hoodie, shorts or water bottle? Check out the Lost and found table outside Room 113. All left over items will be donated to charity after Friday!

FRANCE 2000: It's not too late to spend Spring Break of 2020 touring sites in France related to World War 1 and 2.  If you're grade 9-12 and interested in 10 amazing days travelling with friends and seeing places from Amsterdam to Paris, talk to Mrs Wallace in room 108 today.  The $150.00 sign up discount is only good until the end of March and spaces are filling up.

YEARBOOKS: This week is your last chance to order your yearbook for $50.... after Spring Break it goes up to $60.  Check the Yearbook list in the office to ensure you have pre-purchased your Yearbook!

CLUBS

Spring Sailing is starting soon.  Beginner and experienced sailors are welcome!  Sailing runs April 6th - June 8th. If you are interested please stop by the office and pick up an application form!

CAREER CENTRE

LATTITUDE INFO SESSION - Wednesday March 13th @ 7:00 - 8:30pm.  At the Victoria West Community Centre. This info session will give you a chance to ask questions and find out what Lattitude is all about!

TRAINING & EDUCATION:

First Aid Training – April 6  from 8:30-4:00 pm at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney. $50. This course covers initial assessment, disease prevention, secondary survey, airway obstruction, adult/child/infant CPR, & the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.

Food Safe Training – April 8
Food Safe Level 1 training:  Monday, April 8, 2019, from 8:30 - 4:30 pm, at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney. $50. Food Safe is useful for anyone working in the food service, food retail, or food processing industries. You will learn how to handle food safely in order to prevent food from being contaminated.  Visit the Career Centre for registration info.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange is a national program offering opportunities for youth to improve their second official language skills, explore another part of Canada, and gain valuable work experience through a work placement while on the exchange. The program runs for 6 weeks (early July to mid August), you must be 16 or 17 years of age during the summer program. GRAD SPRING CLOTHING ORDER WEBSITE IS NOW OPEN! All orders must be received by midnight April 1 (NO EXTENSIONS!) This is your last chance to order Grad 2019 clothing. Don’t miss out! We are offering white Grad 2019 t-shirts for the grad tie-dye event later in the spring. Only 5$!

ATTN: GRADE 12's - Your GT paperwork deadline was last Friday....50 Grads have NOT handed in their GT Paper work! Let's get it done.  All required paperwork is available in the Career Centre!

GRAD SPRING PLANT FUNDRAISER: Grads don't forget to pick up your Grad Spring Plant fundraiser form from the Grad board. This fundraiser will help you pay for your Dinner/Dance ticket .... so don't delay grab a fund raising form today! Due date is April 24th!

Grad’s don’t forget to grab a Thrifty Smile card or a Fairway card from the office to raise funds for the Dry Grad.  Get your parents to load the card when they shop, and the stores will make a donation to Dry Grad 2019.
