GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Did you know that School District #63 has its own Hairstylist training program?  Want a free haircut, style or Up-do? Give them a call and make an appointment (250-652-5381).. Check out the posters around the school! Studio 63 is at the Saanichton ILC on Mt Newton X road.

HOMEWORK HELP:  Need any help with your homework? Extra Help is available every morning from 7:15am in the Learning Commons or after school Monday/Tuesday and Thursday until 4pm! Check it out!

ATHLETICS

ALL FEMALE BASKETBALL PLAYERS: Stinger season training for all girls in Grade 9-12 is today after school from 3:30-5pm Anyone and everyone is welcome to come and develop their skills.

CAREER CENTRE

TRAINING & EDUCATION:

Camp Ignite – Summer 2019
Camp Ignite is a Youth Fire Fighter Mentorship Program for grade 11 & 12 girls, ages 16-18.  It is a   4-day camp that educates and inspires young women about careers in firefighting. This camp offers girls an introduction to the world of firefighting as well as learning about fitness, nutrition, health and teamwork. This year's camp will run from August 8-11, 2019.  Saanich Fire is looking to sponsor one grade 11 or 12 girl to attend.
Application deadline is June 1. Please visit the Career Centre for application packages.

Saanich Summer Internship Program - Saanich Parks & Recreation: Summer Internship Program is designed to support youth ages 16-18 years to gain valuable work experience. Mentored part-time and full-time placements are available in summer camps and community settings throughout Saanich. Interns receive up to $500 for completing the program!  Application deadline is May 15.  Apply by sending an e-mail to Alana.Goddard@saanich.ca  explaining why you want to be a summer intern or phone 250-475-7624 for more information.

EMPLOYMENT:

GRAD 2019

Grad Guest Applications are now available at the main office. A limited supply is available and will be handed out on a first come first serve basis!

The list of grade 12 students eligible to graduate is posted outside the counselling office. Make sure all your fees are paid, your semester one books are returned, your grad package is submitted, and you have checked your academic status is on track.

Recognition Ceremony Ticket Forms are available from the main office for those grade 12 students who are on the eligible to graduate list.
