GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations and a HUGE Thank you to the Stelly’s Marching Band and Jazz Band who performed at the Brentwood Parade and festival. You all did an Outstanding Job!

Congratulations to the Stelly's Girls Rugby Team! On Friday May 31st the girls won all three games and won the Silver Division at the city finals! Well Done Stingers!

Stelly's Music Department Year End Concert is happening Wednesday evening. BBQ is 4:30pm - 6pm. Only $7 for a burger/chips & Drink Combo! The  concert starts at 6pm. Bring a blanket or chair and come out and enjoy your evening under the stars listening to the our Amazing Music department.

Stelly's Athletic Banquet is on Thursday at 6pm in the large Gym.  BBQ Dinner, Awards and slide show!  All Stelly's athletes are invited to attend

COMPOST BINS are back! Please remember to be mindful of the environment and recycle! Compost bins are in the art foyer, main foyer and Math Wing!!!Come on Stingers

The June Exam Schedule has now been posted on the website and in the main Foyer. Please check it over and ensure you don't have any exam conflicts. All Grade 10 through 12 students are required to take a numeracy exam, please sign up online, a registration button is on the Stelly's website. Grade 12's make sure that you have taken a Numeracy Assessment as it is mandatory Grad requirement!

HOMEWORK HELP:  Need any help with your homework? Extra Help is available every morning from 7:15am in the Learning Commons or after school every day until 4pm! Check it out!

Reminder to ALL FEMALE BASKETBALL PLAYERS: Stinger season training for all girls in Grade 9-12 is after school today from 3:30-5pm . Anyone and everyone is welcome to come and develop their skills.

Trades Exploration (TEx Program) - The semester 2 (2020) TEx Program, at Claremont Secondary, can help you discover the trade that suits you and your talents best, and, lead into post secondary trades training at Camosun College or our other partner post-secondary institutions. Tex combines school-based instruction with actual work-place experience in Carpentry, Plumbing, Welding and Electrical, giving a comprehensive overview of each of these trade areas. Learn about each trade, fast track your future and earn up to 24 credits toward grad for completing 6 courses! Find out about incentive grants and paid tuition for programs at Camosun related to the trades. Please see Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre for more information.

TEAC 105 - Explorations in Technology - Do you want to explore Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science?  TEAC 105 explores these four technologies through hands-on activities and project-based learning. This dual-credit course is offered in partnership with Camosun College and runs on Friday afternoons at Camosun Interurban Campus from 3- 6 pm, from September to February. Get more information and applications from your school counsellors or the Career Centre.

GRAD 2019

Grads only 70 of you have purchased their aftergrad tickets. Tomorrow is the last day! TICKETS available for sale at 7:45am - 8:45am or at lunch. Tickets are $10 each.

Extra Grad Ceremony Tickets
Additional tickets for the Stelly's Graduation Ceremony will be available from the UVic Ticket Centre (at the Farquhar Auditorium) starting today at 9:30 a.m. in person or over the phone.  Ticket limit: 2 tickets per student. $10 per ticket + taxes.  UVic Ticket Centre:  250-721-8480.

INTERNATIONAL

SISP International Year End Celebration BBQ is happening tomorrow Tuesday, June 4 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at Stelly's. All Host Families and International Students are invited to an evening of Food, Music and Fun! Please sign-up with Diane.

Stelly's International Student Farewell -Wed., June 12 On Wednesday, June 12 at lunch time all International students are asked to attend a farewell ceremony where we will be honouring our graduating international students as well as our students who are leaving the program.  Dessert only will be served, so please bring your own lunch. At 2:10 pm, the same day, Students are asked to meet in front of the school where we will be heading out on School Buses to Langford Lanes for Bowling and Dinner. Students will be back at Stelly's by 6:30 pm. All students who wish to go on the after school trip must pick up a Field Trip form from Diane in the International Office.
