A HUGE Congratulations to the SR Boys Volleyball who won their matches against Esquimalt and Ed Milne, and split sets with Vic High yesterday.  Also, Congratulations to the JR Boys Soccer team that defeated Royal Bay 5-2 yesterday. You make us Proud Stingers!

Reminder to all students interested in Work Experience or have completed Work Experience hours or paperwork...there is an info meeting at lunch today in the Learning Commons.

Homework Help is available every morning from 7:10am in the Learning commons and after school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday til 4pm.

Trades Exploration -TEX Program - Have you thought about a career in the trades?  Not sure if it will be right for you? Get samples of Welding, Carpentry, Electrical and Plumbing through a Semester 2 TEx Program!  Earn work experience credits and learn about the steps to apprenticeship and Red Seal Certification. Saturday, November 22nd, 2019 - 8:30 am to 4:00 pm @ SHOAL Centre 10030 Resthaven Drive. Cost is $50.00 - Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted.  This fun & interactive 8-hour course trains people how to react & improvise during time priority, life threatening emergencies. This course covers initial assessment, disease prevention, secondary survey, airway obstruction, adult/child/infant CPR, & the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.  This course also includes recognition & first-aid treatment for head & spine injuries, shock, bleeds, anaphylactic shock, heart attacks & strokes.  Participants spend the majority of the course doing hands on first-aid training.  By practicing with scenarios students gain confidence & learn to react & improvise in emergency situations. Peninsula Co-op is looking to hire at their Gas Bar Locations - Duties include: gas attendant, customer service, stocking, general cleaning and being outdoors.  This position would be suitable for a student seeking part-time work, providing around 16 hours each week, including  2 evenings and one weekend day.
