GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Best of Luck to Stelly's Cross Country team who has their second race today in Oak Bay. Go Stingers!

The France 2020 trip group will be holding a meeting on Monday, October 7 in room 108 and you are invited!  Families not yet registered and still thinking of travelling with us this coming Spring Break are invited to attend at 6:00pm.  Families already registered are invited to join us at 6:45.  We are nearing the end of our recruiting period so please contact Catherine Wallace if you are still interested in the trip but unable to attend or if you have any questions.

TRAINING & EDUCATION:

Food Safe Level 1 - Friday Oct. 25Th, 8:30 am –4:30 pm @ SHOAL Centre in Sidney, 10030 Resthaven Drive.  Cost is $50.00 - Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted. Food Safe is useful for anyone working in the food service, food retail, or food processing industries. You will learn how to handle food safely in order to prevent food from being contaminated.

Alert First Aid With CPR "C" & AED - Saturday, November 22, 2019 -8:30 am to 4:00 pm @ SHOAL Centre, 10030 Resthaven Drive. Cost is $50.00 -Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted. This fun, interactive, and comprehensive 8-hour course trains people how to react & improvise during life threatening emergencies. This course meets the Adult & Child Licensing Guidelines.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Opportunity with REACH Performing Company. Seeking students to volunteer with the REACH Performing Company! The group meets Thursdays, September to December, 6:30pm to 8:00pm, at Saanich Commonwealth. Peninsula Co-op is looking to hire at their Gas Bar Locations - Duties include: gas attendant, customer service, stocking, general cleaning and being outdoors.  This position would be suitable for a student seeking part-time work, providing around 16 hours each week, including  2 evenings and one weekend day. Grad Parent Information Night is happening on Thursday,  October 10th, 2019 @  7:00 pm in Stelly's Large Gym. All parents/guardians are asked to attend this information session and learn about the many details of grad year ahead.
