A Big Shout out to the Jr Boys volleyball team who had some tough match ups last evening against Royal Bay and Lambrick, but they finished off the night with a win in straight sets against SMUS! Go Stingers!
Interested in playing card or board games? Ms. Tamboline's room (rm 172)  will be open for drop in games at lunch Monday, Wednesday and Fridays starting next week.  Come learn a new game or bring one of your own to share. Everyone welcome! See Mrs. Dildy or Mrs. Tamboline for more details

GOOGLE ACCOUNTS:  Is your Google Account working? If not…. Come to the Learning Commons and fill out the missing paperwork and hand it in to Ms. Love.

The France 2020 trip group will be holding a meeting on Monday, October 7 in room 108 and you are invited!  Families not yet registered and still thinking of travelling with us this coming Spring Break are invited to attend at 6:00pm.  Families already registered are invited to join us at 6:45.  We are nearing the end of our recruiting period so please contact Catherine Wallace if you are still interested in the trip but unable to attend or if you have any questions.


YOUTH IN ACTION: This is a reminder that Youth In Action will be meeting today at lunch and block 3 in room 108.  Bring your lunch and help us plan the actions we take this year.  Please come even if you can't stay for block 3.  New and curious students are very welcome to attend.


UVic School of Health Information Science Open House – Oct 16 - The School of Health Information Sciences is hosting its Fall Open House on Wednesday, October 16th, 4:30-6:00pm at UVic’s Cornett Building room A125. Students interested in the life sciences, medicine and/or information technology would be especially interested in these programs.  Students are invited to learn more about this exciting field by talking with faculty and students. Join us for pizza while learning about the rapidly expanding field of information technology in health care!

Food Safe Level 1 - Friday Oct. 25Th, 8:30 am –4:30 pm @ SHOAL Centre in Sidney, 10030 Resthaven Drive.  Cost is $50.00 - Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted. Food Safe is useful for anyone working in the food service, food retail, or food processing industries. You will learn how to handle food safely in order to prevent food from being contaminated.

Alert First Aid With CPR "C" & AED - Saturday, November 22, 2019 -8:30 am to 4:00 pm @ SHOAL Centre, 10030 Resthaven Drive. Cost is $50.00 -Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted. This fun, interactive, and comprehensive 8-hour course trains people how to react & improvise during life threatening emergencies. This course meets the Adult & Child Licensing Guidelines.

POINSETTIA PLANT FUND RAISER: Grads do you want to decrease your Grad Activity fees this year? Grad Poinsettia fundraiser order forms are now available on the Grad Board in the main foyer! Forms are due back Monday, November 18th, 2019.

Grad Parent Information Night is happening on Thursday,  October 10th, 2019 @  7:00 pm in Stelly's Large Gym. All parents/guardians are asked to attend this information session and learn about the many details of grad year ahead.
