GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Come support the Jr. Boys Volleyball team as they host their only home game of the season this afternoon! Games against Claremont and Belmont start at 4pm in the big gym. Go Stingers!

Interested in joining a student committee looking at health and wellness?  Come to the counselling area Friday at lunch, or see Ms Koenig for more information

Photo Retake Day – Oct. 28 - Photo retake day is MONDAY October 28 in block 1, if you missed the first photo day, or if you want a new photo taken. If you want retakes, you must return your complete original package (and I.D. card) to the photographer at the time of retakes.  Purchasing photos is optional, but all students in all grades need to have school photos taken, for school identification purposes (grade 12’s too - even if you are having grad photos taken).

ATHLETICS

Reminder to those students interested in Jr Boys basketball ... tryouts start this Friday after school. Any questions, please see Mr Braun.

Food Safe Level 1 - Friday Oct. 25Th, 8:30 am –4:30 pm @ SHOAL Centre in Sidney, 10030 Resthaven Drive.  Cost is $50.00 - Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted. Food Safe is useful for anyone working in the food service, food retail, or food processing industries. You will learn how to handle food safely in order to prevent food from being contaminated.

Alert First Aid With CPR "C" & AED - Saturday, November 22, 2019 -8:30 am to 4:00 pm @ SHOAL Centre, 10030 Resthaven Drive. Cost is $50.00 -Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted. This fun, interactive, and comprehensive 8-hour course trains people how to react & improvise during life threatening emergencies. This course meets the Adult & Child Licensing Guidelines.

The SHOAL Centre Bridge Club Dinner and Banquet is being held on December 4, Volunteers Needed!! Lions Club do Breakfast with Santa (Volunteer Opportunity)- Mary Winspear Centre, November 30th -

GRAD 2020

POINSETTIA PLANT FUND RAISER: Grads do you want to decrease your Grad Activity fees this year? Grad Poinsettia fundraiser order forms are now available on the Grad Board in the main foyer! Forms are due back Monday, November 18th, 2019.

BOTTLE DRIVE FOR GRAD 2020: The next Grad bottle drive is next Saturday, October 26th  from 9:00am - 12:00pm to raise money for the After Grad 2020. The Bottle Drive schedule co-insides with the Community Recycling and soft plastics drop-off at Stelly’s each month.

INTERNATIONAL

Vancouver Day Trip - November 13th - Registration forms are now available in the International Office for International Students interested in going on the Vancouver Day Trip Excursion scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2019. The Cost is $85.00 which includes Admission to Capilano Bridge and FlyOver Canada, Ferry and Bus Transportation. Completed forms are due by Tuesday, October 29 or until the buses are full, whichever comes first.
