GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

EARLY DISMISSAL today at 1:35pm as we are hosting the Global Perspecives Annual Gala tonight along with Parent Teacher Interviews! Please join us tonight from 5pm to 9pm and maybe do some Xmas shopping and support our Global fundraiser to build a library at a school in Katesh, Tanzania. 100% of funds raised goes towards this Humanitarian project!

INDIGENOUS LEADERSHIP meeting today at lunch in Room 152

SCHOOL BUS PASSES are now available in the office for pick up! The bus drivers will start asking to see them soon.

CAREER CENTRE

TRAINING & EDUCATION:

Interested in Technology? Camosun College offers a TEAC Course on Fridays after school to current high school students with an introduction to careers and basic skills in Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Students will complete a hands-on project in each of the 4 areas as they explore potential career and post-secondary options within the 4 technology areas. See a counsellor for more information.

New Allied Health Course Offering - This blended AHLT 104 & 134 course delivery is new, and will be offered Friday afternoons starting in Feb.  If you  interested in going into the Health Care field, this is a great course for you.  Come see a counsellor for more information or to get an application.

JDF Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp – application deadline Dec 18 - Do you have what it takes to… Run into a burning building when everyone else is running away? Handle a hose so powerful it takes two people to hold it? Dangle off the end of a rope 50 feet in the air? Use the Jaws of Life and other tools to save someone trapped in a car? The next JDF Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp runs March 16 – 21, 2020.  Application deadline is December 18, 2019 - For information & applications, please visit the Career Centre.  Upon completion, students qualify for 100 Work Experience hours, equivalent to 4 school credits.

GRAD 2020

GRAD WINTER FORMAL - Thursday, Dec 12th- 6:30pm - 9pm - Tickets on sale at lunch in the main foyer this next only. Tickets is $20.  Last day to buy tickets is Friday! Don't miss out!

GRAD PHOTO RETAKES - Dec 17 & 18 - If you didn't get a chance to get your Grad Photo's done in October your next chance will be on Tuesday, December 17th and Wednesday December 18th. To book your appointment, please stop by the main office and sign up. All grads need to have their photo's taken for the yearbook. No sitting fee is required if you don't plan on purchasing portraits.

Saanich International Student Winter Dance - Wed, Dec 18th - 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Please sign up with Diane in the International Office ASAP! It will be an evening filled with music, dinner, photo booth, friends and even a visit with Santa!
