Congratulations to the Stelly’s Global Perspectives class on another successful Global Gala Fundraiser last night! Well Done Stingers!

SCHOOL BUS PASSES are now available in the office for pick up! The bus drivers will start asking to see them soon.

Stelly's Annual Food Hamper Drive is now in full swing... Check with your Block one teacher and find out what items you can bring in to help out our less fortunate families in our community!

Stelly's Annual Winter Music Concert is happening next Wednesday evening at 7pm in the MPR... Come out and enjoy this festive concert!

TRAINING & EDUCATION:

Camosun's TEAC 105 (Explorations in Technology) registration is now open for the Feb-May 2020 course!  This dual-credit course, runs on Fridays from 3-6 pm, and provides current high school students with an introduction to careers in 4 technology areas:   Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. See the Counselling Office for application forms.

Interested in going into the Health Care field? Check out Camosun’s New Allied Health Course Offering - This blended AHLT 104 & 134 course delivery is new, and will be offered Friday afternoons starting in Feb.  Come see a counsellor for more information or to get an application.

JDF Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp – application deadline Dec 18 - Do you have what it takes to… Run into a burning building when everyone else is running away? Handle a hose so powerful it takes two people to hold it? Dangle off the end of a rope 50 feet in the air? Use the Jaws of Life and other tools to save someone trapped in a car? The next JDF Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp runs March 16 – 21, 2020.  For information & applications, please visit the Career Centre.  Upon completion, students qualify for 100 Work Experience hours, equivalent to 4 school credits.

GRAD 2020

GRAD WINTER FORMAL - Thursday, Dec 12th- 6:30pm - 9pm - Tickets on sale at lunch in the main foyer this week only!. Tickets is $20.  Last day to buy tickets is Friday! - Don't miss out!

GRAD PHOTO RETAKES - Dec 17 & 18 - If you didn't get a chance to get your Grad Photo's done in October your next chance will be on Tuesday, December 17th and Wednesday December 18th. To book your appointment, please stop by the  main office and sign up. All grads need to have their photo's taken for the yearbook. No sitting fee is required if you don't plan on purchasing portraits.

Magic Wand Project - Magic Wand Project is a non-profit organization that offers an inexpensive and eco-friendly alternative to grad outfits for both girls and boys. This is a chance to borrow, rather than buy, a dress, suit or tux, (a small fee for cleaning is the only charge). All outfits are new or like-new, and all accessories are included. PARENTS AS EDUCATORS & CAREER COACHES -  Jan 30   Are you the parent of a high school student? Would you like to help them with their post-secondary choices? This is an interactive workshop designed to give you the skills and confidence you need.  Educational Planner is presenting "Parents as Education and Career Coaches" on THURSDAY January 30th at Stelly's Secondary School, at 6:30 pm. PENINSULA YOUTH CLINIC
The Peninsula Youth Clinic in  Sidney is open today and every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.
