GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Course Selection Forms: Reminder for all students to select your courses carefully before you submit your course selection forms. Course selection forms are due by Thursday, March 5th and must have a parent/guardian signature.

ART CLUB: Semester 2 Art Club is starting up again next Tuesday after school. See Mr S. if you have any questions!

Free clothes from Spruce Collective in the Textiles room available at lunch this week. Please come at the beginning of lunch break to see if there is anything that interests you.

THE HIVE, Stelly's school store is now open everyday at lunch. Come on down and see our selection of spirit wear clothing and grab a drink or something to snack on later!

AMAZON RIVER TRIP SUMMER 2021: Any students in grade 9 or 10 interested in expanding their biological research skills and exploring the Amazon Rainforest are invited to attend an information meeting held tonight at 7pm in the Learning Commons. Stelly's is organizing a research expedition through Operation Wallacea to Peru in July 2021. During this two week expedition students will be staying on a research vessel on the Amazon river with researchers from around the world. Students will have the opportunity to participate in research projects ongoing in the region. See Mrs. Dildy or Mr. Siebert for more information.

Interested in visiting Italy for 10 days during Spring Break of 2021? We will be going to Venice, Florence, Assisi, Rome, Pompeii and Capri with EF Tours. ATHLETICS

Spring Sailing is starting soon!  Experienced and inexperienced sailors welcome.  If you are interested in being a part of the School Sailing program please contact Christine Bennett at cbennett@saanichschools.ca . Application forms are due March 9th.

Reminder to all members of Stelly's basketball teams, please return your uniforms to the PE office. Uniforms need to be in before the end of the week or you will be issued a bill.

CAREER CENTRE

Reminder that tonight is Camosun College Info Night at the Interurban Campus from 5 to 7:30 p.m.  Campus Tours leave from the Bookstore. Explore over 160 programs and get the answers you need to make the decision that’s right for you! You’ll have the chance to attend information sessions, talk to faculty, staff, and current students, get an interactive experience with some programs, and find out more about the many services and supports available. Your application fee will be covered when you're ready to apply, if you attend the Info Night!! Criminal Justice Program – Info Session Thursday, Feb. 27 - If you are interested in Criminal Justice and law enforcement, come to an Information Session at Camosun College Lansdowne Campus to learn about the work of the different agencies, opportunities for the future and what it takes to be a candidate for the recruiting process. Camosun College & South Island Partnership is offering a Technology Program for 5 months starting September 2020 to January 2021. See the Poster on the Career Centre Info Board. ROCKY MOUNTAIN TRIP:   International students: there is an amazing bus trip and tour planned to the Rocky Mountains, 4 days & 3 nights: April 19-22. Enjoy some of the best mountain views in Canada, explore the town of Banff, see wildlife and experience the 360 degree mountain view at the top of the Banff Gondola, with optional extra activities (Ice Walking Tour, Snowshoeing Tour, and Lake Louise Tubing). The Peninsula Youth Clinic in  Sidney is open today and every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.
