GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Stelly’s Annual Peninsula Food Drive is happening tonight from 4pm to 8pm.  We will be going door to door to collect nonperishable items and monetary donations to help out the less fortunate families in our community. If you can help out please sign up on our website! Everyone Welcome!

Stelly's Music Concert is next Wednesday Evening, March 11th at 7pm in the MPR. Admission is by donation! Come on out and see what amazing talent we have at Stelly's!

Want to study endangered species and environments, study monkeys, caimens, jaguar, piranhas and sloths? For 2 weeks next summer? Come to a student information session this Thursday March 5th, at 11:30 sharp. Please pack a lunch so we can get started promptly. Cookies provided. See Mr. Siebert or Ms. Dildy for details.

Reminder that course Selection Forms are due by Thursday, March 5th and must have a parent/guardian signature.

Any students interested in writing the Euclid (Gr 12), Hypatia (Gr 11), Galois(Gr 10), or Fryer(Gr 9) Math contests after Spring Break MUST see Mrs Hilton to register this week.  Deadline is Friday. Last chance for 2020-don't miss out!

THE HIVE, Stelly's school store is now open everyday at lunch. Come on down and see our selection of spirit wear clothing and grab a drink or something to snack on later!

ATHLETICS

TENNIS TEAM: Interested in playing on the Stelly's Tennis Team this year? Come to a meeting on Thursday at lunch in the Dining room and find out more about this awesome adventure!

Spring Sailing is starting soon!  Experienced and inexperienced sailors welcome.  If you are interested in being a part of the School Sailing program please drop by the office for an application form. Application forms are due March 9th.

LOOKING FOR A CAREER PROGRAM IN TECHNOLOGY? Are you in Grade 11/12 and want to explore Engineering, Electronics, Computers, Math & Physics! Camosun College & South Island Partnership is offering a Technology Program for 5 months starting September 2020 to January 2021. See the Poster on the Career Centre Info Board. See your Career Teacher to complete a SIP Program Application package, applications are due by March 13th.

GRAD 2020

Grad Transition Packages are due Friday in the Career Centre.

BOTTLE DRIVE FOR GRAD 2020: The next Grad bottle drive is on Saturday, March 28th from 9:00am-12:00pm to raise money for the After Grad 2020. The Bottle Drive schedule co-insides with the Community Recycling and soft plastics drop-off at Stelly’s each month.

Magic Wand Project - Magic Wand Project is a non-profit organization that offers an inexpensive and eco-friendly alternative to grad outfits for both girls and boys. This is a chance to borrow, rather than buy, a dress, suit or tux, (a small fee for cleaning is the only charge). All outfits are new or like-new, and all accessories are included. INTERNATIONAL

ROCKY MOUNTAIN TRIP:   International students: there is an amazing bus trip and tour planned to the Rocky Mountains, 4 days & 3 nights: April 19-22. Enjoy some of the best mountain views in Canada, explore the town of Banff, see wildlife and experience the 360 degree mountain view at the top of the Banff Gondola, with optional extra activities (Ice Walking Tour, Snowshoeing Tour, and Lake Louise Tubing).
