A HUGE congratulations goes out to all the Stelly's staff and students who took part in the "Stelly’s Annual Peninsula Food Drive" last night! It was an inspiring evening where they collected over 8000 non perishable items and cash for those less fortunate families in our community. You should all be so proud of yourselves! Well Done Stingers!
Stelly's Music Concert is next Wednesday Evening, March 11th at 7pm in the MPR. Admission is by donation! Come on out and see what amazing talent we have at Stelly's!
Want to study endangered species and environments, study monkeys, caimens, jaguar, piranhas and sloths? For 2 weeks next summer? Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) Summer 2020 July 6, to August 14, 2020 - Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Breton will be accepting applications for the following trades: Various Metal Trades (Metal Fabrication, Sheet Metal & Welding). Various Hull Trades (Shipwright/Joiner, Painter, Lagger, Electroplater & Rigger). Electrician (Marine & Weapons) - Machinist - Millwright. Location: Fleet Maintenance Facility (CB), Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, 1600 Esquimalt Rd. Victoria BC. Application and Job Descriptions are available in the Career Centre. Application packages: Must be completed in ful land returned to your School Career Teacher and received at FMF(CB) no later than close of business March 30, 2020. Considering a Career in Finance? April 24 Event - Female students in Grades 11 and 12: come to the Career Centre to sign up for the Ladies Advancing Diversity in Investment Management (LADI) Event – an investment fundamentals course offered by BCI (British Columbia Investment Management Corporation) and CFA Society of Victoria and Women in Capital Markets (WCM). The event is designed to inspire high school students to consider a career in finance. Topics covered will include equities, fixed income, private markets and resume tips, all led by BCI investment professionals. This will be a fun, social and inclusive learning environment with both theory and hands-on activities to keep students engaged. The event is free and will be held on FRIDAY April 24, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at 750 Pandora Avenue. Lunch & snacks included. There are 25 spots available on a first-come first-served basis.
Dream It Be It - Career Support for Girls - Apr 16- Soroptimist International of Victoria Westshore presents ‘Dream It Be It - Career Support for Girls’. This free event includes workshops and exhibits for those aged 15-24 who self-identify as female. An excellent opportunity to meet new people and get support regarding future career options and pathways.
