GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today the CAFETERIA has the choice of a Beef Dip with Mozza, BLT Sandwich, Chicken Bacon Club Salad, Baked Tuscan Chicken Pasta, Pizza or Beef Chop Suey on Chow Mein noodles.  Come on down and check it out!

BREAKFAST CLUB will be returning starting next Tuesday & Wednesday. Bagels and juice will be $.25. It's a great, cheap and easy way to start your day!  Come join the fun!

THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, in partnership with schools across the country and with The Legion National Foundation, promote remembrance and support youth education through the annual poster and literary contests. Students in Grades 9 through 12 are invited to submit their creative works, with a focus on Remembrance.   For more details, please see your English teacher or Ms. Pacheco McKinnon in the Learning Commons. The deadline for submissions is November 15, 2020.

Just a reminder to those students that are leaving the school grounds and visiting local stores or restaurants during your lunch hour ... follow the Covid19 protocols and wear your mask and check to see the recommended # of people allowed in the store. Be Safe!

AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK HELP is every Monday through Thursday in the Learning Commons until 4pm. Our very own David Glasgow the Math & Science Wizard will be our tutor. Also, HOMEWORK HELP is available every morning from 7:15am in room 156. Come on and check it out!

HEY STELLY'S! Are you interested in climate justice? This Friday Oct. 23rd at 3:15pm join the community on the airport bike path across from the North Saanich municipality building to protest for climate action, bring a sign and help build awareness!

UBC ENGINEERING & ARCHITECTURE OPEN HOUSE - Saturday, November 7, 2020.  Connect with professors, staff, and students to explore everything UBC Engineering and the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture has to offer. GRAD 2021

GRAD POINSETTIA ORDERS: Grads …  Do you want to decrease your Grad activity fees this year? Grab a Grad Poinsettia Order form from the Grad board in the main foyer. Forms are due back on Nov 15th.

GRAD PARENTS   The Dry grad parent committee is hosting a Zoom Meeting Call on October 28th @ 7pm to source out Volunteers to assist with this year's planning and fundraising events.  If you are interested in joining the call and volunteering, please email Michele @ mwake69@gmail.com.

GRAD PORTRAITS: November 2nd - 13th    Grads, it is time to book your grad photos. Lifetouch is bringing their portable photo studio to Stelly's for a limited time: Monday, November 2nd through November 13th, 2020. To book your appointment, please go to the Lifetouch Grad Portrait website: schedule.prestigeportraits.ca    Enter your province (BC), your city (Saanichton) and your school (Stelly's) to log in and book your appointment. Don't put this off until later, or all of the appointments will be booked up and you will run out of time. Sitting fee of $25 is due at the time of your appointment (but if you know you are not purchasing photos, no sitting fee is required, but we DO need you to have a photo taken for the yearbook).

The next GRAD 2021 BOTTLE DRIVE is this SATURDAY, October 24th from 9am-12pm. Please remind your parents to bring their bottles, cans & other beverage returnables to Stelly’s this Saturday to support the Grad Class of 2021!

SD63 HAIRDRESSING PROGRAM - Studio 63 Teaching Salon is opening for business starting today and the Hairdressing students are excited to use their skills on the public now! COVID guidelines and screening procedures are in place and clients are asked to wear a mask when visiting the salon. Haircuts are only $5 and other services are available at very reasonable prices. Call 250-652-5381 to book an appointment and come support this great Saanich School District program.  Appointments are available: Mondays–Wednesdays 12:30-4:00 & Thursdays 11:30 – 6:00.  Studio 63 is located at the Saanichton Learning Centre,1649 Mt Newton X Rd.
