GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today the CAFETERIA has the choice of Hot Italian Panini, Toonie Wrap, Clubhouse salad, Thai Chicken & Coconut curry soup on rice with Naan, Spaghetti Carbonara with Focaccia or Cheese tortellini in a tomato cream sauce.   Come on down and check it out!

Fast Forward in STEM - This STEM webinar series introduces women in post-secondary in career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.  Featuring inspiring speakers, the free webinars are open to students, educators, and parents. SAANICH SKILLS TRAINING APPRENTICESHIP & CARPENTRY PROGRAM is a full 2nd semester immersion program where students learn the basics of constructing a wood frame structure from the bare ground to the rooftop. This program blends both theoretical knowledge and practical application of skills and concepts related to the trade. Successful students transition directly to Camosun College for further training as Level One Carpentry Apprentices. Please see Ms. Hackman in the Career Centre for more information.

UVIC Virtual Parents Night - Thursday, January 14, 2021, 6:00PM  Parent Nights will provide parents & guardians  with the opportunity to learn more about UVic. Attendees will enjoy a presentation by the amazing Dr. Lisa Surridge, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, with some helpful tips on being successful in post-secondary studies. The focus of the talk is helping parents (and students) navigate the transition from high school to university.  Events are scheduled in Pacific Time. Registration closes two hours before an event.
