Parents are invited to join a virtual meeting to learn more about opportunities available to students in grades 10-12 in the Saanich School District. You will find out about: Skills Training Apprenticeship Carpentry (STAC), Work Experience 12A & 12B (WEx), Trade Awareness Skills & Knowledge (TASK), Trade Exploration (TEX), Marine Service Technician, VIU Hairstylist Program, Dual Credit Courses offered through Camosun College, Technical Trades Training and Apprenticeships. CAMOSUN COLLEGE - CamWeek Virtual Info night replaces their annual on-campus Info Night this year. Happening on Feb. 23-25, 2021 @ 4-8 pm. Learn about Admissions, services including Financial Aid and Awards, Centre for Accessible Learning, programs and areas of study from the comfort of your own home. ALERT FIRST AID with CPR ”C” & AED - Online and in class - Friday, April 23, 2021 - 12:00 am to 4:00 pm in class @ SHOAL Centre 10030 Resthaven Drive. Cost is $50.00 - Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted. 4 hours online and 4.5 hours in-class course trains people how to react and improvise during time priority, life threatening emergencies. The online component covers care for adults, children, and babies. The classroom component will focus on developing the participant’s skills. The instructor will know that participants have completed the online component, and won’t spend as much time on the background information that is covered here. Participants must successfully complete both the online and the classroom components to be certified in Emergency First-Aid with CPR “C”.
