GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Cafeteria is Closed for the year! But ... We have a PIZZA SALE TODAY happening out of the cafeteria ... $2.50 a slice!  Come on down and check it out!

 2 GALLON AQUARIUM with plants and fish--free for summer - There is a beautiful fully stocked 2-gallon aquarium available for a good home for the summer.  Any interested students or staff--please see Mr. Siebert.   Thanks!

Yearbooks will be handed out on Today at the back of the small gym. Grade 12 will get theirs at break, Grade 9-11 will get theirs at lunch, please access the small gym from outside!

The Grads of 2021 are in need of some HELP on Wednesday, June 30th to ensure the Grad Car Parade goes off without a hitch. Do you have an hour or two in the morning or afternoon to help out? TECHWORKS SUMMER TRAINING SESSION -  Are you interested in FREE Career Training?  TechWORKS offers employment training to young adults who want to sharpen their job readiness skills and improve their workplace digital skill set. TechWORKS is a government-funded program which includes 6 weeks of virtual classroom training (that can be accessed anywhere on Vancouver Island, BC), and is followed by up to 6 months of one-on-one support as participants move into employment, education or self-employment. Find out more here: https://www.ethoscmg.com/techworks/

TEAC 105 - EXPLORATIONS IN TECHNOLOGY - Calling All Technology & Engineering Enthusiasts…  TEAC is a Dual Credit course that provides an introduction to careers and basic skills in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Civil Engineering and Computer Science.  This 4-credit course, Friday nights from 3:00- 6:00 at the Camosun Interurban Campus 3 hours per week, for 13 weeks.  For more information see the Saanich Career Education website at https://careered.sd63.bc.ca/  ... under the Training, Workshops and Camps tab. To apply see the Career Centre!

SOAR - ARE YOU AN ENTREPRENEUR IN THE MAKING?  The SOAR Summer Innovation Camp is an interactive virtual learning program designed to immerse students in Grades 7-12 in the world of entrepreneurship and innovation through engaging online project-based learning challenges.  2021 Camp Dates - Cost $400.  Session 1: July 5th-30th 2021     Session 2: August 3rd-27th 2021  Cohort A: 9:00 - 11:30 AM ET. Tripleshot CrossFondo which is a 45+ ride of backcountry trails in Victoria BC. GRAD 2021

At Stelly's on June 30th the Grad Car Parade will be happening:  The Central Saanich Police will lead the parade and the local fire service will also participate.  We ask that Vehicles begin arriving at Stelly's around 1.30 pm. Check out the Grad Google Classroom for the Parade route and other details!

GRAD 2022

PARENT COMMITTEE for GRAD 2022 BOTTLE DRIVE is happening this Saturday, June 26th from 9am-12pm at Stelly's School.   Please consider volunteering for 1, 2 or all 3 hours. Please bring a mask and gloves, we will have a sanitizing station also. This bottle drive is HUGE and is contributing lots to the year-end grad 2022 event parents are helping with.

PARENT AFTER GRAD 2022 COMITTEE is having their first 2022 after grad planning meeting at Stelly’s, in the Learning Commons, as long as we are allowed by our PHO.  It will be September 22, 2021 at 7:00 pm. Mark that on your Calendar!

SAANICH PENNINSULA YOUTH CLINIC is operating through Telehealth tonight from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.  Appointments with doctors or mental health workers are conducted by phone or video. Services are completely free and confidential for any medical concerns, to get prescriptions, or to speak with a counsellor.  To make an appointment, call 250-656-4143.
