GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
TODAY THE CAFETERIA has the choice of a Baked Turkey Pesto & Mozza Panini, Spicy Chicken & Bacon Salsa Wrap, Chicken Caesar Salad, Thai Chicken Coconut Soup on Basmati rice, Mac& Cheese or Spaghetti Bolognese. Come on down and check it out!
STUDENT PARKING: Reminder to all students who are parking in the student parking lot... you need to be registered. Parking forms are available in the Main Office.
STUDENT ABSENCE OR LATE: If a student will be absent or late for class, we ask that parents/guardians either email stellys_attendance@saanichschools.ca or phone the Attendance Line 250-544-0300 to let the school know.
School Photo Day – Tuesday, Sept. 21st - in the morning for all grades!!! Purchasing photos is optional, but all students in all grades need to have school photos taken for school identification purposes (grade 12’s too - even if you are having grad photos taken later).
Return Forms - Reminder for students to please return their forms to their TA class or the main office..
Course Changes – It is our hope that there will be minimal changes with student timetables. Those wishing any changes to their timetable must have this completed prior to the end of the day on Monday, Sept 13th. We ask that all course change requests are made by filling out the orange course change form and submitting it to the Career Centre.
Masks - Reminder that masks are a mandatory requirement in the school and we hope that every student will bring a mask to school every day for their personal use.
Music Class!! Vocal Jazz meets on today at Lunchtime and Jazz Band meets today from 3:10-4:30pm. All Classes are in the band room aka room 5

CAREER CENTRE
VERY SHORT NOTICE, REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS NEXT WEEK!! Are you a candidate for the Gulf Island Fire Rescue Cadet Camp? The next camp runs March 21-26, 2022. Applications must be submitted before September 15, 2021. Wonder what it’s like to run into a building that everyone else is running out of? Think you could dangle off a rope 50 feet in the air? Want to make a difference? Wish you could help? Applicants must be 15 to 18 years of age. Admission fee will be $200 per student. Upon completion, students qualify for 100 Work Experience hours, equivalent to 4 school credits. See your Career Teacher to Apply!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
The BC RCMP Community Policing Services is recruiting volunteers for the 2021-2022 BC RCMP Youth Advisory Committee (BC RCMP YAC). The purpose of the BC RCMP Advisory Committee is to represent the youth voice within the RCMP and to gain insight on how the RCMP can deliver effective youth strategies and initiatives. Youth can email yacbc@rcmp-grc.gc.ca for an application. Completed applications must be returned by September 21, 2021. If chosen as a youth advisor, participation will run from October 2021 to June 2022.
Tripleshot CrossFondo which is a 45+ ride of backcountry trails in Victoria BC. This event is a fundraiser for the Tripleshot Cycling Club Youth Racing Team, and also raises money to support the South Vancouver Island Nature Trail Society and the South Island Mountain Bike Society. GRAD 2022
PARENT COMMITTEE for GRAD 2022 BOTTLE DRIVE is happening on Saturday, September 25th from 9am-12pm at Stelly's School. Please consider volunteering for 1, 2 or all 3 hours. Please bring a mask and gloves, we will have a sanitizing station also. This bottle drive is HUGE and is contributing lots to the yearend grad 2022 event parents are helping with. You can also drop your bottles off anytime throughout the year at one of the three Bottle Depots in Victoria (Glanford, Quadra and Queens) and ask for the funds to be added to the Stelly's Parent Grad Account. PARENT AFTER GRAD 2022 COMITTEE is having their first 2022 after grad planning meeting at Stelly’s, in the Learning Commons, as long as we are allowed by our PHO. It will be September 22, 2021 at 7:00 pm. Mark that on your Calendar!
