Each year dance festivals from all over British Columbia select a dancer to represent their city to compete at the Provincial Performing Arts Festival, which was held in Kamloops this year. Grade 12 student, Chelsea Schaddelee was selected to represent Victoria this year and was declared the Provincial runner up for the Stage Performance Dance section,16-20 years of age. The competitors are graded in technique classes that they take during the week and on their performance of two contrasting stage solos, which can include jazz, tap, lyrical, modern stage and song and dance. Congratulations to Chelsea on such an amazing accomplishment!
