GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to Stelly’s sailing team for placing 3rd at the regatta this past Saturday! The team included  Emery Kier, Alec Anderson, Lachlan Wilson,  Portia Cotton, Payton Murdoch,Luke Deschamps, Sylvie Mayhill, Alden Thom, Aaron Radawytz, Kyra Johnson, Rebecca Grey, and coaches Cameron Lorenzo and Hugh Olsen. Way to go team!

It is "Save the Bees" awareness week!  The event of the day is a henna stand in the main foyer. Make sure you come and  check it out! All donations go towards helping save local pollinators!

COFFEE CONCERT: Stelly's May coffee concert is next week on Wednesday May 23rd at 7pm in the MPR. Come on out for an awesome night of talent, treats, and of course, coffee or tea! If you want to perform, come to the auditions on Friday or next Tuesday the 22nd. If you don’t know what a Coffee Concert is, come on out to the auditions to find out even if you don’t want to perform!

STAGECRAFT: Stagecraft Class is cancelled this afternoon!

GRAD CEREMONY MUSICAL AUDITIONS: Reminder that Grad Ceremony Musical Auditions are happening right after school in the band room at 3:15pm!

DUAL CREDIT PSYCHOLOGY COURSE: Are you interested in getting transferable college credits next year? If yes Psychology 12 is offered as a dual credit course next year with Psychology 130. If this interests you please come to a brief meeting at lunch on Wednesday in the PE classroom or see Ms Koenig!

HOMEWORK HELP: Don't forget...Homework Help is available everyday in the Learning Commons starting at 7:30am and after school until 4pm.

Encounters with Canada is our country’s largest and foremost youth forum! Every week of the school year, 120 to 150 teens from across Canada, aged 14 to 17 years, come to Ottawa. TEAC 105 COURSE - Explorations in Technology -  Registration now open for the Fall TEAC session, the program runs Fridays, 3-6 pm - September through December. This dual-credit course provides current high school students with an introduction to careers in Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. MOTHER’S HELPER: We are looking for someone to come to our home in Sidney for 3 to 4 hours between 3:00 and 7:00 two days per week, $15 per hour. We would like this person to prepare dinner by 5:15 or 5:30. After everyone is done eating (including this person if he / she wants), this person would pack lunches and unload & reload the dishwasher. If there's any time left, folding laundry or general household chores. If we have tasks that we want to complete, we might request that this person supervise our VERY active 6 and 3 year old. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

The Boulders Climbing Gym, Sport Climbing BC and Climbing Escalade Canada are in need of volunteers in various capacities for the 2018 Lead and Speed Nationals happening May 19-21. The First National Stand-Up Paddleboard Championships are being held at the Sidney waterfront May 26th & 27th. Each shift will be 3 hours long. The first shift is at 9:00 a.m. and the last shift is 6:00 p.m. Saturday and 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Duties range from directing event traffic into and out of Beacon Wharf, helping vendors set up & take down tents & supplies, and managing cleanup of the site.
